I just saw the 365 Grand National offer.

So basically if you bet £250 EW on a horse they return you £125 whatever happens?

http://www.bet365.com/extra/en/promotions/horse-racing/grand-national-2014/

Seems too good to be true but it looks like a straight cash refund of £125 if you place £250 of ew bets on the grand national.  No mention of free bets/rollover requirements.  Only thing you need to do is to have opened your account before Weds.

I contacted them on the live chat and they told me that there are no rollover requirements.

Love it, doobs Cheesy

Do you pin my tips on a board, marking them off as they miss? We can all make mathematically correct decisions using clever arithmetic, spreadsheets and logic but not many can find it in themselves to spend several hours researching worldwide financial experts suitable for a senior position at the Bank of England, prepare and deliver a reasoned argument for betting £1.67 on the wrong one.

Get out of that, son!

Just found this while looking for that erroneous tip of mine:

"I'm in charge" as Bruce Forsyth used to say.

As announced I will be looking after Fred while tikay is enjoying his sojourn in Las Vegas.
I feel fairly well equipped to fulfil this role because, although I am not as old as tikay (or anywhere near), I am equally grumpy so it should be a smooth transition.
By nature I am a cautious man and I will only be making minimum bets unless there are exceptional circumstances

I think that this might be a good time to remember the words of the founding fathers when considering our tips. When making a tip please “make a post with a cogent argument as to why the bet should be made”.

Personally, as a nerd, I love to see statistical justification for bets but other sound reasoning is equally valid. Please don't post tips just because you are lumping your own money on and you think Fred should too. Also, if you are going to use the line “a friend told me that this was a sure thing” as justification can you please include a full CV for your friend so that we can assess his merit.

Examples of justification for tips might be something like this:
1. It's rained on 9 of the last 10 days in Manchester, therefore I fancy a draw in today's cricket
2. The owner of the dog in trap 5 has just told me that he has substituted a ringer and we should put our mortgages on it
3. During the last match I spotted that the Ukrainian centre back has got an artificial leg so back Rooney to score as I don't think the bookies have spotted this

Please include the odds, recommended amount and bookmaker for each bet.

Fred has placed bets based on tips from 71 different tipsters to date. It would be great to get more people involved.

That's all for now.

Let's make some money. Smiley

He was good, that Constable Mere.

Pretty good summary by Mere there.

Tighty needs to take note, he was spraying money around everywhere today, he was even inducing bets.

I've changed all my Passwords tonight. Sod that.

Just worked it out i would probably have to back the whole field e/w on 1% limits to get £250 on!!  1% account can back every horse to win £100 on the win market so £10k takeout for an unrestricted account.  Good time to see what your 365 limits if you don't know if you click max bet on any national horse on the bet slip.  See how much of an ice cream 365 think you are.

You joke but there are punters there who are on 50 or 100 times normal limits as a max bet according to my sources at the firm.  Imagine having access to an account like that.  Maybe eso Kral is one of them.

Think we discussed this about Floyd Mayweather.

Teaforthree is 15-8 to start favourite with Sky, 7-4 with Baldygoat.  Seems generous to me.

wow, man united are 11-10 tomorrow?

Newcastle are absolutely awful at the moment, seriously terrible.

Remy is out, HBA refuses to play for Pardew and Cisse-De Jong are worse than useless.  Asides from the Stoke match where we played with 9 men (we were losing 1-0 before this) we have only scored 14 goals at home all week. 6 of those goals come from Remy. In our last 7 games at home our scores have been.

Without Remy in our team, we have scored 1 goal all season (1-0 94th minute win vs Crystal Palace)

0-1
0-2
0-3
0-4
1-0 (terrible villa team)
1-0 (terrible palace team, 94th minute goal)
0-3

West Ham   0-0   No scorer
Fulham     1-0   Ben Arfa 86
Hull City     2-3   Remy 10,44
Liverpool     2-2   Cabaye 23, Dummett 56
Chelsea    2-0   Gouffran 68, Remy 89
Norwich City     2-1   Remy 2, Gouffran 38
West Brom     2-1   Gouffran 36 Sissoko 57
Southampton     1-1   Gouffran 27
Stoke City    5-1   Remy 44,56 Gouffran 48
Cabaye 66 Cisse 80pen
Arsenal    0-1   No scorer
Man City   0-2   No scorer
mackems   0-3   No scorer
Spurs   0-4   No scorer
Aston Villa   1-0   Remy 90+2
Crystal Palace     1-0   Cisse 90+4
Everton   0-3   No scorer

The one thing against Man United is that they may rest players for the Bayern match as the league is out of the question but we have a huge injury list.

Arguably our 3 best and most consitent players Krul, Debuchy and Remy are all injured. Sissoko is also out injured whilst HBA will probably not play either. Apparantly Pardew will play Dan Gosling who has basically not played for the last 3 years.

Man United may have Rooney missing but they have won to nil in their last 4 away games.

When we beat Man United 1-0 earlier in season 5 of those players have now been sold or are injured.

All in?

I will have you know that I have a very restricted account with b365 due to some of my Camel's extreme shrewdness a while ago Sad

All other accounts we can get a 3rd world debt on though so it's all good...
