If anyone is wanting 4/1 Jessica Ennis, best be quick, it won't be around for long.

Cheers Chompy. Tried 9-2 with Corals an hour ago , got offered £25 @ 9-2 , then got rejected for that !!

with laddies is a great VALUE bet. Jessica is 4-7 ish to win gold and if she does I think she is nailed on for

SPOTY.

Come on Tk , get your betting boots on , quick !!

Gotta love da fixed odds boys. VC were 4/1 earlier, so went online. Tried for a chunk, rejected, tried for less, rejected, tried for less again, rejected. So rang. The price had gone to 3/1 without a bet being laid I'd imagine. Laddies and Padraig still have 4/1.

Completely agree Basher. She's a threes on shot waiting to happen in the summer if she wins the Heptathlon. I wouldn't want to lay any bigger than 2/1.

Jessica is 4-7 to win gold with laddies although 5-4 with bluesquare.

How she can be 4-7 and laddies offer for spoty is madness.

Jessica is the darling of the press , photogenic and the public will/ do adore her.

Hurry up TK , at this rate you will be lucky to get .

I've bet it already Mr Moult!

If I'm honest, I don't think she's nailed on at all, even if she does grab the gold.

I don't really know who will win it but if the football Team do well, once Becks get his mighty & huge PR Crew up to speed, he'll take some beating. IMO, of course.

I need to back Dai Greene, too (who?), do gotta be careful here.

I note John Terry has eased in places, 200/1 generally but you can get 321/1 for him on Betty. For purposes of comparison, Judd Trump, Darren Clarke, Jimmy Anderson are all around 950/1 on Betty. Just in case any of you fancied backing Terry.  Value.

Given the coverage the UK Olympics will recieve I totally agree with the logic that a gold medal Olympian will be SPOTY...I saw some info on this thread last week so surely its just a case of identifying which one  ? views  ?

Can anybody give a cliffs please ..ie British athletes with best medal chances and what price are they to win their actual event etc? Is The Sheffield Girl Ennis the best bet for SPOTY  ?    + any  betting price links too would be great too if possible

thanks if anybody can help

I keep seeing these Jessica Ennis references, & have to admit, I don't think I've ever seen her. Is she some Athletics Goddess, or something?

Makes me so sad to read this and see what VC have become.  I think it is one of the negatives of online betting that a trader can sit behind a screen and just reject a bet that over the phone they would have been embarrassed to.  When I worked there in the late nineties we used to shut accounts etc but we still laid a bet to these people who had accounts at least.
