Hoovered up the 200s on Bunting SPOTY......

Bunting better value at 200's to win next year's hot dog eating comp in NYC...

Bunting looks like he's been following the advice on here.... http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56169.msg1965276;boardseen#new

looks half the man he was!

Tim Blake does too, and Lewis is hammering him!

Fred regulars will remember me pointing out last year that I used to play in a big (amateur national circuit-wise anyway) chess tournament at the Blackpool Winter Gardens:

(I'm none of those people)

It is kind of surreal every year seeing the darts crowd dancing around in an area I used to sit in near silence for four hours at a time.

Snap, double fist pump, CALL!!!!!!!!!!!
What's your ELO ranking btw?

Ha! You can get up and wander, but you're bound to be told off for talking in the tournament hall, so it's lips sealed, really. There is no silence, though; just as you get the constant rattle of chips being riffled at poker comps, you have 300 clocks ticking, coughs, slurps of coffee, crunches of bourbons, the odd boiled sweet wrapper being twizzled and the squeaking of chairs. It's like a Beck album.

My peak rating was 1999 (sick rubs), but I only play a handful of games these days in the local league or for the county and haven't played a tournament for years. Would be about 1850ish. I should probably give up the poker and get back to it Smiley

New signing to restore the midfield equilibrium?

His father was born in Tottenham, he used to go to the Lane as a child and yesterday he took a full part in a training session, finally being presented with a shirt. Who is he?

Funny what you can find with google.

Tal officially as good as Arsenal, but way better than Tottenham, was once better than anyone else in England. Tottenham no longer a big six club.  Sunderland better than Newcastle.   Ashley out.

Stoke top 10 looks good, Newcastle not so much.

+£20 Ando beat Cavo 10-8 at 2/5 in the world match-play. A report described it thus

"sealed a superb 10-8 win against Jamie Caven.

The first seven legs went on throw before Caven broke by taking out 132 on the bull. However, Anderson hit a maximum before a 145 checkout saw him break back immediately to trail 5-4.

The match stayed on throw before Anderson got the key break for 8-7, hitting double 12 to punish three misses at tops from Caven. Anderson then saw out the match with two holds."

not at all close, then.

I guess Scudamore has a holiday booked that he hadn't told Pipe about. How the hell did he jump a fence???!!

That said the only surprise is that the Brooky clan weren't told to back it by Pipe!

I can't speak for others, but personally, I think betting on "Friendlies" is fraught with danger.

Managers use them to experiment, players don't always give 100%, there are too many variables against us.

At least Mr Pardew will be spared "Pardew out" for another week, or until he loses one consecutive game.

Anyway, hope you had a good bet, & got the lot.

I read on Twitter yesterday that the McIlroy bets, (which were all placed at different times over an 18 month period at various prices), were actually laid by a small bookmaker with a few shops in Belfast. Ladbrokes took over the chain and all the outstanding bets.

I wonder at what stage did Ladbrokes find out about their unexploded time bomb?

Agree with the friendly analagy in general, however with Pardew's comments pre match it seemed to indicate they would take it a bit more seriously than maybe they first intended.

Im happy so far!

About last Thursday, I fancy.

I hesitate to join the "knock the bookies" Club, some of them are admirably efficient & innovative, & extremely profitable (anyone see BetEveryDay's results last week?) but what a sad mess that Ladbrokes business is.

Uncle Cyril must be turning in his grave.
