Sergio isn't playing well and Rory can't play in the wind he just dumped a wedge into a bunker at the last - morale very low.  Walker/Fowler playing well and up for it after getting a half this morning.  They are favs imo.

thanks

shall we have £15 say?

yep 7/4 tho with bmu

 Match 7 - McIIroy/Garcia v Walker/Fowler Walker/Fowler (To Win Match - Day 1) Odds: 7/4 Stake: 15.00 Possible Return:  41.25

I was trying to let Chompy tap one in. I know nothing about league 1 or 2 unfortunately. Have just been watching because of Marcus Maddison who is really good.

Like ferguson the manager and saw they unluckily lost the last few games so imagined the bookies would perhaps incorrectly price them.

Wouldn't be backing us at the moment, as unusually we are struggling for goals.

Vassell is out for a while, Washington can't score for love nor money and Luke J is still setting in. Maddison is selfish by nature but has been trying to do everything himself lately.

Fleetwood will probably come to frustrate and that's not taking much doing at the moment. If anything it looks set up for a Fleetwood smash'n'grab, the same as Crawley and Stevenage did last season when we were in similar form.

It's very early days but Kaymer/Bjorn halving from 2 up with three to play and McIlroy/Garcia chucking the last two holes away sees Europe not odds on for the first time

Europe Ev, USA 11/8

long way to go

Seems like an overreaction to me for the price on Europe to move that much.

Maybe the price was wrong in the first place.

Thoughts from the Clever people on this;

Man Utd vs West Ham.  BTTS and Man Utd to win.

With Man Utd defence prone to leaks a plenty.  West ham coming off a confidence boosting 3 goal win over Liverpool.  17/10 in general.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/man-utd-v-west-ham/match-result-and-both-teams-to-score

With the news that Van Gaal stating only 1 CB available, good news for the bet further.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29367107

I'm suggesting Man Utd will comfortable win, so it is 17/10 on West Ham scoring.

Negatives - West Ham will be looking for a draw and regarding this as a good result - Sam has said as much today.
The Leicester game has been a kick up the whasit for Man Utd, so surely all week they've looked to improve this
As Van Gaal stated it is the team as a whole to defend, so does it matter who is at CB if they have improved on defending as a team?

Or is this a better bet at 6/4

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/man-utd-v-west-ham/match-result-and-4-goals-in-match

Given that Man Utd will win - West Ham may score, Man Utd will (based on current form) score a few. 7 in the last 2 games.  Albeit QPR/Leicester.  The attacking force is quite reasonable.

I quite like the 11/1 about West Ham and BTTS, but I'm definitely not clever Grin

Man U are going to start comfortably winning now that they have one central defender fit?

Nirvana has a theory that Man Utd are top heavy, with lots of quality up front but nothing in defence. He'd be the man to advise here.

Day One Ryder Cup thread Report

Because I am short of time tomorrow, half the daily report now

Europe 5 US 3

made up of

Fourballs - Europe 1.5 US 2.5
Foursomes - Europe 3.5 US 0.5

Losers today £25

betvictor   28-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup day 1 fourball score   US 3-1   11/2   10   0   N -10
betvictor   26-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup match 7   walker/fowler   7/4   15   0   N   -15

ongoing positions

ladbrokes   28-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup top European   Rose   7/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3
ladbrokes   28-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup top European   Garcia   13/2   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3
betvictor   28-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup Top Points   Kaymer   20/1   10   £5 e/w 1/4 1,2,3

betfair   28-Sep   golf   Ryder Cup Top US Points   Mahan   17   7

2 out of 2 points from Justin Rose, who formed an impregnable partnership with Stenson that is likely to see them out twice tomorrow.

The strategy, proposed by The Gold Trader, of having a European "heavy scorer" who would play five times for top European points outside the McIlroy/Garcia partnership, as well as one of Mcilroy/Garcia to have a foot in both camps, could be put in place by following Betting Emporium's Rose tips, and has started well

This is especially the case because McIlroy and Garcia, playing a mixture of wild rubbish and occasional moments of brilliance, scored half a point out of two possible

Donaldson won his first point, and is one of five rookies on one point after day one

on the downside, no points for our Top US bets Johnson, Furyk and Mahan, the foursomes specialists all sunk this afternoon

Also only half a point for Kaymer this morning, from 2 up two to play, and surprisingly not out this afternoon.

This was Garcia's view after McIlroy's tee shot rebounded off the tree wide of the 18th fairway late this afternoon

He got it pin high, and the pair finished birdie-birdie-birdie for a half to sink our bet

I am informed that it was quite a day in trading rooms

McIlroy and Garcia got chinned as 1/12 in running favourites this morning

Fowler and Walker were 1/20 favourites walking onto the 16th green this afternoon

Neither won

Tomorrow morning's pairings are out shortly

In pool, Finland won their second successive game 7-0, this time dispatching Poland. They go into the quarter finals against Philippines full of confidence.
