Adzy is gonna give you all a right ripping in the morning.

Thought I had Tal with "armography" but Mr Google informs me it is a proper word, like.

Why are Nottingham forest odds against at home to brighton?
2.2 in exchange, surely won't go off at that.
They are still unbeaten in the league, and have won three out of four at home. 12 home goals as well, which is the joint highest in the league.
Brighton on the other hand have a poor away record- just one win from four, with three defeats. They are on a fairly poor run at the minute as well, with no win in four, including two draws at home to Charlton and lowly Blackpool. Also lost to Ipswich and Brentford in that spell.

Max bet to lay back or keep? Cheesy

The trouble is that is all just general stats that everyone can see, so no inside angle the bookies weren't aware of.

Fwiw some syndicate bet Brighton today (can't have been Bloom for obvious reasons) so I would guess that some advanced metrics/stats have them underrated.

It's ridic that we're second. If I was offered sixth now to get the season bet home I'd snap it off. That said it's still early days for this side and anything's possible with Poshies.

Maddison is without doubt too good for this league but does love a good roll on the floor.

Coral are 10-11 each in the Finland v England A semi. Think I'd be looking to cover in this spot, as the boy Appleton is the nuts.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £449.67

Outstanding Bets £4016.26

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=29

A loss of £38 yesterday

Winners

- With 3.5 points out of 4 in the Ryder Cup Justin Rose is guaranteed to be top Englishman for a profit of £21. Although his form faded a bit yesterday afternoon, the late half he got ensured the win here, and his performance yesterday morning was quite brilliant

- Southend beat Shrewsbury 1-0 for a profit of £25

Losers

- Jack Payne did not score for Southend -£20

- In the Golf

  - Kaymer -£10 Top Points scorer. Has one point from two halves but hasn't been in great form
  - Furyk -£10 Mahan -£7 Johnson -£7

The foursomes specialists in the US team have been routed, with one combined point between the four players. Almost..

None of them can catch Speith or Reed, currently on 2.5 points, to be top US points scorer

My theory being that the Europe team's camaraderie and team-work really shines in better ball, and is less of a factor in four ball where the players can play their own ball and worry about their team mate less. Some of the US team, even by the standards of professional golfers, appear a bit cosseted. This will reverse in the singles where it is every man for themselves.

- The Perth Scorchers lost to the Chennai Super Kings, failing to chase a perfunctory 155 ("well, there's a surprise" said a Mr Patel from a bookmaker's office in Chennai) to be eliminated from contention for the CLT20 semi's -£20

- I took the £10 Darcy Ward Speedway bet as a loser. There is one GP left of the season and Ward has not been seen, presumably suspended, since he turned up for a Grand Prix pissed. He thus has the honour of being the first person to lose for TfT whilst being under the influence. That we know of.

The Ryder Cup

Our main hopes today rest with Rose, on whom we have 7-1 top European points scorer. With 3.5 points he leads from Stenson 3 points and a number of players on 2 points. Stenson being rested for yesterday afternoon could prove vital to this bet

Beat Hunter Mahan today, and Rose scoops

Garcia with 1.5 points has an outside chance of an each way return in the same market

Donaldson with 2 points has a shot to be top rookie, half a point behind the unpleasant twins Reed and Spieth, though Reed's surly mien makes Speith look like Michael McIntyre on acid by comparison

Our US 9/4 bet looks to be in some trouble

Football

- Premier League

Led by the impressive Yannick Bolasie top ten bet Crystal Palace went 8th beating top ten bet Leicester City who are 9th.

Liverpool, a handicap bet, continue to resist the lure of piling up points, denied the win by a Jagielka thronker at the kop end

Rooney scored for Man U. He though won't be scoring in the next three games and everyone still trails Diego, 8 goals in six games, Costa, who went odds on for the Golden boot after yesterday's game

Top ten bet West Ham went out of the top 10

Relegation bet Southampton....fill in the rest yourselves, its going to be a long season reporting on that one

Championship

- Watford were two up at Blackburn, but for Watford (my view formed over more than a season of disappointment) no lead is ever safe and Blackburn pegged them back to 2-2. Watford are 3rd though, and in good shape for the promotion bets

League One

- Peterbourgh beat Fleetwood 1-0 and in shock news our goalscorer bet Conor Washington scored the winner. Peterborough, passionately supported from Hungary to Malta by a worldwide fan base of one which doesn't look up who they are playing, are 2nd

- Relegation and Peterborough match bet Doncaster Rovers lost 3-0 at Walsall and are 18th, three places above the drop zone and 8 points behind Peterborough

League Two

- Newport beat AFC Wimbledon 4-1 and are now seven games unbeaten and climbing the table

Conference

- Dover won, 1-0 against Alfreton to climb to 19th just above the relegation places

- Ryman One South

- Guernsey won 4-2 at Horsham with two goals from a man quixotically named "Crusher" McGrath. Guernsey are up to 5th, nine points off top

Jockeys

Richard Hughes rode the exciting Tiggy Wiggy ("like a stone from a catapult") to victory in the Cheveley Park, and is 5 behind Moore with 5 weeks of the season to go

There appears to be the prosepct of Tiggy Wiggy v Muthmir v Sole Power in the Abbayhe on Arc weekend, which should be a good one

Strictly

Despite the protestations of our sequin correspondent, the general consensus was that the initial performance by Thom Evans last night was underwhelming. So underwhelming in fact, that here is a picture of Frankie Bridge's pins, which are going to brighten up many a dark winter night

X Factor

Apparently we have to watch out tonight as "Only the Young" on whom we have a bet are one of a few groups at the latest stage that "leave Louis with some tricky decisions"

This is what life has become. I get an email alert when there is X Factor news and I report it. "No Mum its ok, I'm not wasting my education. How's Dad? good good. Got to go, have to review Strictly on I-Player then write up about a Speedway rider who failed an alcohol test and then respond to allegations of a clique from someone who has had over 20 bets placed on a thread that we try to make fun. Yes yes, speak soon, Bye"

Onto other matters

Baseball

It was 3am and my phone pinged. I open the www.mlb.com alert. It's a result Minnesota Twins 12, Detroit Tigers 3. Come on!!!

The Kansas City Royals are playing the Chicago White Sox. Come on the Royals....I sneak a look at the app. The Royals are 4-1 down in the sixth. Back to sleep. 90 minutes later, "ping" I open the www.mlb.com alert

Kansas City Royals 4, Chicago White Sox 5

The comeback didn't quite make it

So, the Kansas City Royals AL Central Winner bet has made it to the last game of a 162 game season. It's a bit emotional really. I'll miss these guys. Never has a £20 bet had more attention

They need to win tonight and the Tigers lose to take the race to a one game play-off. I might put my phone on silent

The good news is that if they lose the title race, the Royals have secured home field for the one game wild card in the play offs against either the Athletics or the Mariners

Superb work Tighty, full of clever little one-liners, lovely stuff.

Not sure if the global fan base of Poshies, or Mr Patel, were the highlight.

Good stuff.

Dubuisson Ev Johnson 8/5 Halved 5/1

anything appear of interest in that lot?

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/ryder-cup

Mickleson is quite long anywhere around 10/11 4/5 is he not?

Reed at 8/5 against Henrik with a bad back?

Can Mahan live with Rose? Should Rose be shorter?

Dubuisson at Evens? (though if the rubber is dead, strange concessions happen)

Brilliant stuff tighty.

Perth  were horrid in the last  few overs of their bowling. Should still be getting 155. Lahore have got to beat Perth convincingly to make the semi's in the last group match.
