Morning Mr T.

Have to be a bit sharpish as it starts in 30 mins.

Suggest £20 @ 2-1 with Coral Sock to beat Raonic at the ATP Paris.

No one go mad on this just because of recent winners, this is more like a 6/4 ish shot.

bwin 2.1-1

Milos Raonic (CAN) - Jack Sock (USA)
    2Way - Who will win?
    Pick: Jack Sock (USA) 3.10

Total stake 20.00 GBP
Possible winnings 62.00 GBP

Thanks hector.

I believe this will be shown Live on Sky Sports 3.

For those interested in tennis, right now on Sky Sports 3 there is a Show called "Time of Our Lives", & they are chatting to these 3 very famous young ladies. Without googling, looking at the Sky Menu, or cheating in any other way, can anyone name all three? (MereNovice could if he were around).

Confirmed, this is on Sky Sports 3 via the Red Button, "Coverage # 3".

Virginia Wade, Ann Jones and a guess Angela Mortimer?

i like the photos because of the social history

Wade crowd, long hair, facial hair, check shirts 1975-77

Jones crowd white shirts, ties 1967-69

mortimer (?) crowd men in heavy coats, big cigars 1950s?

I thought the middle one might be Goolagong.

Amazing what we can gather from looking at the crowd, & how they dress & act. 3 out of 3, by the bye.

Ann Jones looks much the same these days, I had the good fortune to bump into her a year or so ago.

Pretty sure Goolagong (Cawley) always had curly hair?

Horrible injury to the Lakers rookie last night in his debut in the NBA he suffered a broken leg and is out for the season.  He was a lively 10/1 4th fav in the rookie of the year market which we are heavily involved in but we didn't back this guy.  Anyone who hasn't backed Parker at 5/2 already it is still available now and is obviously an even better bet now than it was before with this news.

Anne (Haydon) Jones was also a top-class table-tennis player, losing in the world championship final in the 1950's before concetrating on lawn-tennis.

Her father, Adrian Haydon was also an England international table-tennis player between the wars and played on the same team as my dad and Fred Perry.

Incred.

I recall you telling me of your (or your Dad?) Table Tennis exploits. Pretty sure it was your Dad.

When you play poker, your card marker is something to do with your table tennis days, maybe a Medal, I think, or was it your Dad's medal?

Sorry to be so vague, it's all in my mind somewhere, I just can't seem to retrieve the file properly.

Yes the card protector is an ETTA medal for men's doubles dated 1936.

It's enamelled bronze and still looks fresh as the day it was minted.

shall i double up?

as it stands Parker is a marginal loser, Noel and Wiggins winners (due to these being bigger bets)

1 set all.

I thought Raonic had quit after the 2nd set, he disappeared for 8 minutes, but eventually returned. Urgent # 2 presumably.

Proper sweat on in hector's tennis bet - 1 set each, & 5-5 in the third.
