Another update

we have three rookie bets in the NFL

Offensive

Benjamin 20/1
Cooks 10/1

Defensive

Donald 20/1

NFL.Com published its rookie team of the year at the half way stage of the season today

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000418916/article/rookie-watch-midseason-allrookie-team?campaign=Twitter_atl

All three players feature in it

"Benjamin is a big-framed, gritty wideout who looms as a matchup nightmare for lone cover men"

"Cooks leads all rookies in catches"

"Donald has played out of his mind against the run. The Rams behemoth is a legitimate Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate and "the best we've faced all year," per Chiefs center Doug Pederson."

If the vote was today, i would think Sammy Watkins and C J Mosley might win, but we are certainly in the hunt on all three

keys from here include

- avoiding injury
- performing on nationally televised games.

Winners are selected by a nationwide panel of 50 members of the Associated Press who regularly cover the league. Ballots are cast at the end of the regular season, before the playoff

To compensate for my pretty bad joke above.....

Think there is a potentially very good bet in the Carling Cup tonight.  Chelsea have a lot of injury problems and it seems unlikely that they will risk rushing someone like Costa back for this game.  We already know Remy is out and surely they cant risk potentially having to play Drogba three times in a week at his age.  That pretty much leaves Schurrle and Mourinho has suggested he will have to play and potentially on his own yet we can back him at 6/1 with BMU and 365, 11/2 with Boyles and 5/1 generally.  If my hypothesis is correct then I think he is probably a realistic 3/1 shot so would be looking to have a fairly lumpy bet.  Maybe rec £60 for Fred at 6/1 or £50 at the 5/1 (lets pretend Boyles don't exist because, well, they don't)

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-cup/shrewsbury-v-chelsea/first-goalscorer

again, need to go to betvictor here

account needs funding from sportingbet before i can place it

on this one BMU now go 17/4

11/2 Ladbrokes is the best available, but we were limited to £20 which i placed

the Chemnitz/Werder Bremen bet is a no go. BMU remain stand-out price and no way of getting on at the moment

same with Coral, for the other three NBA bets with the season starting tonight

so, for the Clippers/Bulls went to Ladbrokes

Was going to ask about Joseph Randall last TD by dint of playing the fourth quarter.
do you think Dallas will be ahead by more than one score in the fourth quarter? I doubt it

Good call Rich, it's a shame there was no bet rec really.

Sick rubz ITT

I was merely trying to help Tal. If the game was close in the 4th quarter the back up running backs wouldn't be in the game.

I personally had Washington +10 and gave it all back on the player props so a bit of a wash-out as far as my p and l went

It is Game Sx of the World Series tonight and we are in the nice position of not being able to lose

The Giants are 3-2 up and we have £25 at evens (pre-series underdogs, but with a big experienced advantage)

but we also have the series to go to the seventh game £15 at 2-1 (always likely to be close, and 7 games was an underdog to 5 games for no discernible reason i could see)

so if the Royals win tonight that bet wins

the scoop is the Royals win game 6, the Giants win game 7

Tonight on the mound the brilliant Royals rookie pitcher Yordano Ventura plays the Giants "arm for hire"/rental pitcher Jake Peavy

I think the Royals will take it to the seventh game

Peavy has a post-season ERA of over 7 and if this runs true to form tonight the Royals will lead, and their top class bullpen will take over to once again try to close a game out

World Series Giants ev   25
Number of World series games seven 2/1   15

TOR Raptors66/1Championship Winner - 10/06/2015
Each Way 1/2 1,2
Stake £20.00
Estimated Return:£1010.00
Total Stake: £20.00
Potential Return: £1010.00

the only outstanding basketball bet is now part of the Raptors division bet, which i could not action

 NBA - Atlantic Division 2014/15    Toronto Raptors   5/6   100

it was recommended at £300

if it is alright with arbboy we'll stick with £100 as i am conscious that the forward book is now bigger than tikay would like, and stuffing another £200 up at odds on for 8 months is an issue

No, I got that you were trying to help. Some of us are beyond help, though, sadly, and I woke up poorer this morning, which is no fun.

And do you mean this Sammy Watkins?

Sure whatever you feel is best.  I just stated £300 to show the strength of the bet for the forum in general.  It will be settled by the second week in April at the latest.  If we run good maybe late March fwiw.

Perfect way of demonstrating the perceived strength of the bet.

I've asked Tighty to sort of try & reduce the size of the forward book, or at least not let it get any larger. If we don't control it, there's no saying how big it could get.

thats the one

Kyle Orton coming in for EJ Manuel transformed his season, sadly for us as Benjamin was a runaway winner of it until Sammy started receiving passes he could actually catch

and then Kelvin dropped this against Sherman for a touchdown (and the win) at the weekend
