Valencia woefully short imo. Hope they come through for you.
Any reason why you've started up again Tikay? If you've already said why I apologise, but couldn't see it anywhere.
Started up what, Solaris? Punting generally, or this £1,000 challenge?
If you mean punting generally, I hope I have not, but the temptation is huge. Aside from stuff on this thread, I have just had one bet (2 actually, one to lay the other, on Sunday's golf) outside of this £1,000 challenge.
I very much doubt I'll ever start punting "properly" again.

My mistake, didn't realise it was a challenge per se. Thought when I read it that you had decided to go back to punting using others tips but just limiting yourself to a 1k bank. Obviously got that wrong!
Wish you all the luck in the world sir.

No, not my idea at all, I got put up to it by Lord Camel, who sort of teased/challenged me. I've actually enjoyed it quite a lot, but it began at a very busy time for me elsewhere, so I got a bit behind, & now I need to sort it out. We are not far adrift, I don't think, but we have a good bit of the 'roll in play at the moment. I'm trying to find a way to easily update the running totals, "at a glance" style. The only bit I have not enjoyed is opening loads of different accounts with various bookies, I must have opened 5 or 6, & stuck a few bob in each, to leave me some elbow room for future bets.
Oddschecker is a very useful site, very handy, which is odd, because I see their figures every week, (as part of next door) but had never even visited the site prior to this thing.

The "unsettled" £140?
Valencia are currently 1-0 up @ Stoke with 20 mins to go, that'd be handy, the Oscars bet looks nailed on, the Darts, too early to say.
MereNovice is the "Comeback Kid", both his selections got there after torrid starts, but I was only on one.
So, we are up to date, & all to play for.
Keep them coming, please, & thanks for the tips & guidance.

In the idiomatic sense that it was used by Dave, it means "
To a small degree; somewhat
". I would add "
hardly at all, almost imperceptibly
".
I hope that clarifies it sufficiently for you.
P.S. Thanks for the kind words Dave.

Stoke @ 11/10
vs Crawley on Sunday in the FA Cup (Hills/Bet365)
Think the price is big, I make them about 10/11 max.
Crawley a touch overrated, conceded 5 in 2 games. Don't see the cup holders playing a dramatically weakened side, they will be depserate to try and repeat and turn around a match unbeaten run (4 tough games).
Stoke won away at Derby and Gillingham in the cup so far, both by 2 goal magins and both comfortable.

lol 2 huge absurd decisions so far, the ref has lost control.
Things like this make me think Bobby1 has a point about football betting.
