Total stakes = £1,377 , Total Returns = £1,226, Loss = £151 (excludes unsettled returns, if any, but includes cost of them)____________________________________________
Isn't this a weird way of looking at it/reporting it? Talk about glass half empty! All you need to measure is your entry point and your exit point?
You started with a bag. You are currently showing a profit of £226 AND you have some results to come.

Very probably.
I have been waiting, since the thread started, for some bugger to show me a nice easy way to keep the running totals & profits/losses, set out in a better way.
Not one person cane up with the suggestion of how to set it out,
including a sample example
. Until now........
Thanks Simon!

he's not showing a profit of £226 though, his returns are £1226, not his balance.
pretty standard way of setting it out is being used, total investment minus total returns = total profit/loss.

I thought exactly that, but was a bit nervous of saying as much in front of such a seasoned & degen audience, for fear of looking even dafter than I am.....
At present, as I see it, we are in a small loss. Lot of fun for it though, so good value. Need to do better though, this is the
creme da le creme
of tipsters, & we ain't exactly minting it. I've not even had my SkyBet account restricted yet.
Still, after today's Golf, who knows?

More money buying if you fancy it.
2/5 (corals) Valencia to Beat Stoke tonight.
We've taken the reserves to valencia, completely given up on the tie for some reason.
They are going to batter us, should be 1/6.

I couldn't tell, without wading through it! Which defeats the purpose of a summary.
Starting balance = £1000 (this is static until such times as you withdraw some or reload)
Current balance = £xxx (cuurent balance minus starting balance = profit [or loss, if negative]) - ldo
Value of open bets = £yyy (this is for info only and just gets included in the current balance as each bet gets settled)

Probably, yes, I just wanted to (try to) be as transparent as possible. It ended up reading like a Virgin Group balance Sheet......
I'll simplify it going forward.

Could I advise a small stakes bet on Van Barneveld most 180's in this weeks darts @ 12/1 with Skybet, standout price for you.
Has had 4 & 5 in the 2 weeks so far and is playing better than he has for a while, drawing with Lewis & Whitlock 7-7.
Plays Taylor tonight so we need a close game with all 14 legs played if possible, but the price is certainly too big.

It is now generally a top-priced 10/1 - is that still value?
Also, how much do you suggest - £25, £50?

Belfast loves Barney and when I was at this last year a fair few sections of the crowd were booing taylor and giving him a hard time. I think it will be a close match between those two tonight

I wouldn't suggest going crazy, £20 at 10's would be fine, don't take lower than 10's imo.

So, will be able to watch a bit of this, with the Argos/Nandos crowd, in between watching the Golf, with only the occasional "IN THE HOLE" to jar. No golf bets today, either.

Recommend a £20 last longer bet @ Luton G tonight.
It's stealing money.
