Adm. Regardless of the debate content etc its the thought process from all you guys that's gold. I'd like to see pricing models explained more. Maybe people would be prepared to put prices up before the books? just for fun.

No slight by the way mate. Check our overall record v top sides, its woeful. Pulis sets the team out to be drawing 0-0 at 80 mins and hope for a set piece goal. He's not playin penant due to a fall out and diao is starting who is by some distance the poorest player in  the prem. We aren't playin at the same intensity as we did at the start of the season, already got nothing to play for. They will control midfield easily if whelen doesn't play and spank us 3 or 4 nil.

I didn't take any offence Smiley
They won 2, drew 2, lost 2 at home to the top 6 last season. Not great, not bad.
They actually beat City at home in a FA Cup game in 2010 so have won 2, drawn 2 of their 4 home games with them since getting promoted.
Diao is out with a hamstring and Whelan will probably deputise. Stoke almost always lose the possession battle (win, lose or draw) due to their style of play in any case and will probably do so again but I don't foresee them getting spanked. But it's possible with a team like City of course.
Meh, it's certainly not hugely +EV anyway, if at all, so I'm happy enough to bin it. I'm not backing it myself as I can only get 3/1 on Bet365.

Play just resumed in Wellington.
Still, with South Africa batting first and 1-0 up in the series, it's now difficult to see them winning this.

South Africa are 246/2 at the end of play.
Not really sure how this game is going to progress but South Africa making a big score and then bowling New Zealand out twice cheaply seems our best option.

With the match result not necessarily going to end in our favour I've been re-considering the Philander bet in order to try to raise my spirits (and failing).
There is generally a strong wind at Wellington and this is probably bad for us. Steyn, as senior bowler, is likely to get the benefit of the wind whenever he bowls and he is the main competition to our man Philander. On a plus note, Philander is likely to get the benefit of it when bowling in tandem with anyone else. Hopefully Graeme Smith will only give Philander a short opening stint into the wind.

Well both bets remain alive, so we only need one to get home & we are mostly out of it. If our Phil is that one, we are a winner.

I think a big 1st innings score is the likely escape route.

Best regards,

Deputy Cricket corry.

I have been thinking overnight.

Given our thin bankroll, the "second" £100 bet on Sunderland, the press, was a bit daft, to put it mildly.

I'm very happy with the bet, but will remove it from the "thread" accounts, & just have it for my own ends, off-Forum.

Much more sensible, or less daft.

Firstly, I am a rangers fan so need to say this is with caution as I don't think I can be 100% objective....but I think rangers at home to Celtic tomorrow is absolutely huge- we are 3/1. Now our home form has been pretty poor this season and Celtic have been winning games...but form really does go out the window in a high % of these games...we have quite a few players back and I just see us winning at home a lot more than 1 in 4

I thought the point of the thread was to not be a degen but to become a shrewd punter.  Camel suggested a bankroll system at the start too.

Being a degen is more fun, but also quite expensive

Don't think doing a K is fun for TK, certainly wouldn't be fun to watch.
The bet is over 20% of the current roll which I don't think the bet warrants.
Mark it down as a mistake and learn from it. Could still be a mistake that pays off.
I don't think anybody has been offended by people disagreeing with bets in this thread so it's on contributors to the thread to continue to point out what is good and bad advice.
