My brother is at the game- so we managed to use this to our success by betting the draw at the lowest possible price and backing England at the lowest possible price haha- cant make it up!
edit bf now have a "cashout" feature so you can see just how bad your book is
Cash Out?
Take £4,288.90
Your current liability £5,395.00 | Profit/Loss £-1,106.10

Betfair has always had an invisible "cash out " button by selling or buying back your position..with this new feature are you at a disadvantage by "cashing out " at their prefered price or is it the same thing as doing it manually ?
PS...hope things change in the cricket so you can trade out your position

I know. I can already cash out my £50 bet for £48.13. Almost a result, that.
Seriously, I find that little feature very handy, & I refresh it constantly when I have a bet running. Last time I pressed "Take" Camel shouted at me though, so I don't go near it now.

Ill have a look on betfair later but Im guessing he shouted at you because you ll be cashing out at a worse price then you could secure manually
Mmmm..Intrigued now...going to have a look at my QPR bet ...obviously wont be trading either, just curious of the feature...could be a whole new thread !

No - It secures you best available execution. Camel shouted because trading is -EV generally speaking.

Really short notice and my first effort so please be gentle. Just had a text from my friend who owns Rhinestone Rebel. Running in the Towcester 3:30. 12/1 available, 14.5 on Betfair. Cheeky £10 e/w if you have time.
Never get texts from him unless he thinks it's going to win.

Cheers for that Red..understand trading is generally -EV as your having to pay for both the buying & selling margin.. of course this is a case in point on spread betting where the" middle point " is a lot bigger
