It's a crazy big price so I don't think anyone can complain too much. I was just about to say that you could get 22/1 DNB on Betfair but it doesn't matter now.

22/1 really? thats nuts. You should have backed that Tikay. I hate DNB, such a girls bet.

If I had of seen it, I would. I'm a bit of a Betfair idiot.

I wouldn't say you messed up, you got a better price than the recommended bet after all. It's just that the EV of the 22/1 DNB is slightly bigger than the EV of the 24/1 outright. But you obviously can't be expected to research all the different possible better permutations regarding all the bets recommended to you. We're supposed to do the legwork, you're just the benevolent sugar daddy:)
Anyway, I think it's still a good bet @ 24/1 as the price is so huge. It's priced like Germany at home to Armenia or something. I simply can't believe there can be that much difference in ability between 2 top flight Spanish sides (regardless of team selections).

Again, Bilbao are very likely to rest a bunch of players, 48hrs off their last game with the 2nd leg next week + with nothing really left to play for in the league. You can't say 'regardless of team selections' as if that doesn't matter.

I don't mean to suggest it doesn't matter. I'm saying even though they will be weakenened, the team they are likely to put out still can't be that far behind in ability. Perhaps I'm wrong but the price is simply huge.
And the European argument, it could be argued, goes both ways. Yes, Bilbao will have had less rest than Barca but Barca will have half an eye on their huge Champs League game which is on Tuesday and may rest players themselves. Bilbao don't play again till Thursday.

Qualifications not that hard, should be a cruise if he back to his best or dont want to think it, but even better. Most people in qualification just journeyman with jobs averaging low 80s

Can you please confirm how you expect Wayne Mardle to "cruise" through qualification when he isn't a PDPA member and therefore won't qualify for the qualifiers?

I do hope that people haven't laid money on this tip.

I ain't an odd compiler for anyone, I use another forum about darts and someone made me aware of this thread.

The criteria for the Worlds is as follows:

-Top 32 in the main Order of Merit
- Top 16 in the Pro Tour OoM
- Top 4 in the Euro OoM
- A place in the PDPA qualifiers
- International invites to top the field upto 72

Wayne Mardle qualifies for NONE of the above. Skybet are laughing at you for putting this bet on.

There isn't any different criteria this year. None that will get Mardle in.

The PDC were quite happy to allow Priestley, a two time champ and legend of the game, to miss the event this year, and he was still playing!

How u think the Jamaican bobsleigh got in the olympics? Rules are made to be broken for the fans

Been on phone to ladbrokes odds compiler for last 20mins- he actually knows Wayne really well from when they sponsored him- he has agreed to go 2500-1 for 24 hours or so and they said will be great publicity for the game. I had £500ew- expect big article in racing post Monday- no prices on ladbrokes online but if you ring with the market reference number you can get on. Blonde trip to Hawaii if he wins- reference was Darts//27745-36657

One in tonights boxing.

Brian Rose to win by decision/technical decision @ 6/4 with Lads, PP, Sky

He is fighting Max Maxwell who stopped him in their first fight two years ago although there were excuses for Rose on that occasion as his head wasn't right due to his previous opponent collapsing and ending up in a coma although he has since made a full recovery.  Rose has since kicked on from them and put his demons behind him by winning 4 in a row and comfortably outpointing Prince Arron to win the British title (despite what one jusdge thought).  Rose is not a big puncher though and of his 18 wins only 5 have come by KO/TKO.  Maxwell on the other hand isn't much more than a journey man with a 15-10-3 record and only 3 of his wins coming by KO/TKO.  Of his 10 defeats he has only been stopped twice and both of those have been in the first round when he has been caught cold, he has proven to be pretty durable otherwise.  Given Rose was KO'd in their first fight I imagine he will be pretty circumspect in the opening round.  I expect Rose to box his way to a wide UD.

Thanks Bazza.

Decided to have £25 on this, & have managed - just - to beat the price you gave, though after commission, it is probably quite similar.

Appreciate your input Ginge, but can we avoid the personal stuff please?

The forum owes Dubai nothing, we have all made a few bob off his back, and if he has slung us a wrong 'un, too bad, it was well-intended.

Hope you'll stay around and maybe give us some positive news on the darts scene.
