With this thread seemingly the 2nd most popular on the forum, beaten only by tighty's live updates, and assuming you haven't gone busto over a failed coup on Myanmar's version of Dancing on ice. Have you formulated a plan to keep the thread alive when you are in the states, as I assume you will not be able to access your betting sites?

Yes.

I've never tried to punt from the USA, but if I cannot bet Online from there with UK sites, presumably I can bet out there "live" via the Sports Lounges etc?

Beyond that, if I can't bet out there, yes, Plan B exists, I'm sure I could set it up with MereMandate.

This will be fantastic.

My favourite baseball stat involves Cal Ripken Jr.
Most consecutive games: 2,632.
That's consistency.

Unlucky bazza, keep them coming please. What's next, Boxing wise?

Bellew v McIntosh next week.  I have Bellew by stoppage at 5/6 but price has since gone (8/11 now).

Hopkins v Dawson as well.  Hopkins by decision at 9/2 looks very big to me.  At 47 there is always the danger that he could finally show his age and but people have been saying that for the past decade and he has been written off more than once and stuck it in the doubters eye.  Dawson is the most likely winner but is never a 4/11 shot as Hopkins will use every trick in the book to get inside his head. Dawson has loads of talent but I'm not sure he really fancies it when the going gets tough.  Hopkins is 3/1 to win but given he hasn't stopped anyone for 8 years I much prefer the 9/2 by decision.  I'd recommend £30 on Hopkins by decision @ 9/2.

Rugby Union.

Today Exeter play Northampton in a showdown to see who gets to the playoffs. Exeter have suprised many people this season by not being in a fight for relegation. They have no star players, but what they do have is fantastic team spirit and a fanatical home support. The weather down here in Devon is wet, windy and cold- not what Northampton would chose. With so much at stake it should be a dull, dogged, forward dominated bore-fest which Exeter relish. Northampton also have their England hooker suspended, for biting an Irishman's finger.

The best prices around are on Betfair.

 Exeter to win @ 59/50 £30  and £5 on the draw @ 21/1

47 YEARS OLD?

And still boxing?

That's almost as extraordinary as Mere's Baseball stat, the chap who has played 2,632 games on the bounce.

Thanks Mr H.

Like your bet sizing, it works for me, save the "maximums" for Super-Naps.

Managed to slightly beat the win price, got £30 @ 5/4 with Laddies for £30.

Did the draw on Betfair for £5 @ 21.

Been mulling on this all morning but price is going now so time to pull the trigger.  Jensen Button e/w @ 5/1 paddy power to win Bahrain gp.  Possibly best driver on most consistent team.  Not a bet to nothing but he should be odds on the place and fourths is a good q performance for Jenson.  In this heat tyre maintenance will be very important and nobody does that as well as him.

Freak of nature? Sounds a valid reason to me, let's do it. Boxing - to a decent standard at 47 - incredible!

Thanks bazza.

don't mind the bet, but bear in mind its much cooler there today

Spots of rain earlier!

In those conditions his tyre-maintenance advantage is lessened

good day for the Newcastle top 4 bet
Tips for tikay is on that, right?

Very spooky this.

Shortly after you posted that, I was chatting away on a nice table @ DTD, & sat two to my right was the very man who tipped it on this thread, that "Newcastle to finish Top 4" bet - "geordieneal". The price when he tipped it? 11/1. Well done him, & anyone else who got on. I was a non-believer, marv.

To be fair Newcastle have a stinker of a run in; Wigan (A), Chelsea (A), Man Citeh (H), Everton (A).  Can't see them doing too well out of that lot, but I couldn't see Wigan beating Manchester United and Arsenal, or QPR beating Arsenal and Liverpool and the Totterningtons so who knows?  This season has proven Jimmy Greaves right more than any other.

With this funny old game in mind I'd like to propose a throw away almost nonchalantly placed "who cares it's only money" £20 on Nikica Jelavić to score anytime 90 minutes for Everton against Manchester United @ 7/2.

Everton usually lose without breaking a sweat at Old Trafford and have recently proven how gutless they are losing pathetically in the FA Cup.  United haven't conceded a goal I think since February in the Premier League at home and there's no real reason at all to suggest that this fixture will be any different save Nikica Jelavić's recent form which has been excellent.

Therefore in this league of wagering through the looking glass, it's a banker!  Get on!
