Lots of good games in the AFL this week with my tip to back Fremantle +30.5 at Hawthorn.

Fremantle have improved this year under their new coach, they are strong in defence having conceded the fewest points after 7 rounds and are going quietly about their business and seem to be underestimated.
Hawthorn haven't quite hit their stride yet and have lost their only game in Tasmania (where they are traditionally strong)to Sydney by 37 points, Freo will apply similar pressure which should see a close, low scoring game.

£60 @ 5/6 with Stan, Victor and Paddy.

Our selection in the matchplay golf, Nicolas Colsaerts, has taken the tournament by storm. Narrowly failing to win his first match, losing the 18th hole meant he halved it, he fought back to get  beaten in his 2nd match by Retief Goosen.

However, following on in a long line of gallant Belgians ( Eddie Merckyx, Hercule Poirot and TinTin) he refused to lie down, and found himself in a playoff versus Charl Schwartzel to see who would progress from the group. With a birdie at the first hole our man was victorious and has progressed to the last 16, where he will fear no one.

They really have managed to ruin a perfectly wonderful tournament with this group stage rubbish.

Ooh, we are still alive with Colsaerts then, too, great news, thanks.

Personally, could not agree more with your views on this "group Stage" stuff, but I expect there was a reason, & it almost certainly begins with "M" & ends with "oney".  It makes the world go round, you know.

Your love is my loveeeeeeeeeee

At 259-3 close of play England can try to bat all day tomorrow with the aim of batting once in the game

Very strong favourites to go one up.

£60 it is then.

We actually need an AFL winner or two, it is currently in the red column, (though not by much), so lets hope we can start clawing a bit back with this.

£60 @ 5/6 with Stan James, Fremantle with a 30.5 start. Sounds easy........

For Tony, from practice today.

Russia gets us off to a bright and bouncy start to the day. One of the grannies is off key for the first run through and one is boom booming a bit prematurely but otherwise it’s fine. It really comes across well on screen and they are using their special weapon (the tiny granny) well. In a contest that has given us winner like “Boom Bang A Bang”, “La La La”, “Diggy Loo Diggy Lay” and “Dinge Dong” I really can’t see why people think that this would be a bad winner for Eurovision. For me a far worse winner is one that is instantly forgotten, like last year.

For Mantis simply for the mental picture it paints.

Well the Buranovskiye Babushki are looking as fab as ever for Russia. This will sail into the final. They have been very clever with the camera shots and the money shot is the sweet smiley face of little granny
