The favourite is last year's champion, Taylors Sky, who I don't really like at the prices and I think the real outstanding value lies in the classy Coolavanny Bert who I am certain there is more to come from at Wimbledon. Bert has broken the track record at Sittingbourne and has carded cracking times at Henlow this year too. QAw, EP and the odd VQAw are dotted all over his results, and as I said before that is key here.

I'm topping up the win part of my bet on Betfair before Friday with 50 on offer but I recommend something like £15ew @ the 40/1 on offer with bet365 who are paying 1/4 odds top 6.

You may decide to not follow these suggestions but at the very least I hope it provokes some discussion.

Not trying to rub, but Bert just made it to the final and is as short as 5/2 favourite.

good call mate and good luck in the final.

Update on our NBA lay of Miami....they're 2-1 down in the East semifinals against Indiana, have lost a third of their big three to injury and seem to be experiencing a lot of in-fighting....they're out to 4.2 now....remember this, as all, series is best of seven, they play the winner of Boston/Philly in the East finals if they see off Indy and then face the winner of the Western Conf in the NBA finals, San An and OKC, both in the west, are now both more fancied than Miami. So far so good

After three quarters The Hawks lead 90-50.

Full time

Hawks 119 Dockers 63

Is 119 minus 63 more than 30.5?

Thats 2 weeks in a row I've given teams who have thrown in shockers , time to step back and re-assess.

Like your style, Teacake, I think it behoves all of us to examine what we are doing, critically, when we have a setback or two.

Keep the tips coming though, it might just be variance having a little sport with us.

Daily Summary as @ 08.45, Sunday 20th May

Small loss yesterday, but not too bad, & we have to speculate.

The big betting event of the day was the CL Final, in which we drew a blank, pretty much. Who'd have thunk we could beat the Germans on Pens?

We had a small "DNB", which I have assumed settled at 90 mins, so that was a "void".

We also had 2 bets on Gomez to score first & last, these were subject to "money back if Chelsea won", so we got that £50 back. Happy days.

Elsewhere in football, Sandy (henrik77) once again got it absolutely spot on with one of his stats specials (Hibs Bookings) & we banked a handy £75. We really ought to follow his tips "blind", he has a great strike rate, & only bets infrequently. Perfect.

The Nile ebbed, due, I gather, to sub-optimal jockeyship, that cost us £40.

In the Cricket, we remain on course for 1-0 in the Windies Test Series, if the weather holds sway for us, that is.

Our NBA lay, on Miami, continues to tease, we are still very much alive, &, it seems, with a tad more optimism.

I missed Sicilian's NBA Bet yesterday, but it lost, so that was a £70 loss nicely (& accidentally) swerved.

A lovely little sweat on Colsaerts (thanks Hector) in the World Matchplay has given us a ton of fun, & continues today. I wrongly reported yesterday that we had £20 @ 14/1, in fact, we hace £10 EW (1,2) on him. So if he can make the final pairing, we are in profit. A lovely bet.

Finally, in the "Daft" Department, Vince Kidd, in "The Voice", served up not one, but two scoops of "creativity", our Tosh Corry informed us. Apparently we get to know if he has survived tonight.

My love is your love, oooohhhhhh......

What's coming up?

Snowball has given us Airdrie today, we have £70 @ 21/20.

The Test continues, as does the World Matchplay. Be really something to get Colsaerts over the line.

Vince Kidd, Mr Tosh himself, gets voted in - or out - tonight.

If I'm not mistaken, as far as today goes, thats........

You'll be getting the cash back from paddy power. Mine has been returned.  Am going to have to think of something new to bet on now the chelsea revival has finished.

Yes, Mr Mere just reminded me of that, so I have Edited everything accordingly, & rather sneakily, hoping nobody would notice. You boys get up way too early for me to get one past you.

You've done us proud on Chelsea, in the CL, it must be said.

You need a new bet plaything? may I recommend Russia, in the ESC?

Bit of industry gossip.

Rumours abound that Mr Didier Drogba will be Guest of Honour at the Annual Dinner & Dance of the British Bookmakers Association, though I can't begin to imagine why.

In the golf, Colsaerts lost the first four holes but has won the 8th and 9th to get back to 2down.

Hmm.

By and large, that would be a bad thing, I surmise?

In  the IPL Mumbai Indians have qualified for the play-offs in 3rd or 4th place.
This means that they will have to win 3 consecutive games to win the trophy.
Today's game is irrelevant.
