A little more constructive please guys, & please remember Mere is doing this as a favour to me, & spending a huge amount of time on it, on our behalf.

Thanks.

very very harsh on mere who is stepping in and doing a fine job

its pretty easy to come on the thread AFTER the event and criticise the bets placed but is about as useful as buying a chocolate teapot

it would be folly NOT to take advantage of the in play 50 free bet offer

Think that is a bit too results orientated.  There have been some very good tips on the Euros which have gone astray.  Kerzakhov as top scorer springs to mind and the positions in the US Open last week were almost all well thought out.  There is undoubtedly a lot of trash in the thread but everyone needs to be willing to police this if they want the thread to be positive.  Coming onto the thread and criticising but not providing a critique of individual bets isn't that constructive really.  If we want the thread to be a winning one then we all need to contribute to it.

From what I see in this thread, most of the tips usually have some evidence behind them to back it up.

This topic if by far the most intriguing and you have so much information from so many difference people, I actually can't believe that between us we are not making a few quid of the bookies.

Apologies. Thread is still a must read.

Not results orientated thought, thread is betting on anything that moves.

Thanks Scotty.

How do you suggest we adopt, or change, then?

I don't think we are doing much different, maybe we are, but I can't see it.

I said all along we would struggle during the Premiership off season.

Euro12 has not gone well for us, but I think the bets we made all met the thread criteria.

The thread is the sum product of ALL OF US.

For sure, if I were still running it, instead of being away in Vegas, we'd have lost more than we have under Mere's stewardship.

Let's keep the stuff coming, see good reasoning & debate, for & against, & then either Mere or I take responsibility, 100%, for "accepted" bets.

Not easy shoes to wear, believe me, & it takes an awful lot of time to monitor, place bets, update the Spready, & do Daily Updates.

Come on, let's keep having a bit of fun, & try to do better. Together.

Less of the negative waves.

It was only a week ago we had the top 5 golfers in the betting after 2 rounds of the US Open- so close to a big score. Just keep analysing stuff but don't bet just for the hell of it. After all we now have TK's omaha tourney dollars behind us.

P.S We all know it's going to penalties- Gerrard, Cole, and Parker to miss.

I don't see anything wrong with betting on "anything that moves" as long as we have a perceived edge.

Far easier to find value in unusual markets which have by definition been less thoroughly researched.

The one thing I would say is that the amount of bets placed on things that are on TV that day is far too high. There is a reason that televised events generate more turnover and there is a reason that televised events provide a higher % profit for bookmakers.
