Sam Stosur has just made her traditional early exit from Wimbledon.
She was beaten by Arantxa Rus who was 7/1 on Betfair despite her good run in the French Open.

out of interest, why is there not more tennis action being thrown out?

no value in any Wimbledon singles matches? outright markets?

Mr Horner of Leeds must be getting it on his own this year?Huh?

I used to enjoy putting up a thread about the outright betting but nowadays with the absolute dominance of Nadal and Djokovic in every grand slam there seems little point. I toyed with the idea of putting forward Del Potro and Tsonga but its just doubtful it will be worth the effort on anyones part. I couldn't even find anything in the "to win a quarter betting". Tipsarevic @ 18s was the only close one but he has a tough enough draw.

I'm just doing pre-match betting this year, lots of handicap and set betting.

Trading it seems difficult nowadays, the market is too good. Almagro yesterday was 1.6 a set and a break down to Rochus. A couple of years ago you might have seen some odds against. He went on to win.

Today Petzschner was 2-0 up over Mayer. He has a tendency to lose from here and again, a while back you may have been lucky enough to lay some 1.15-1.18. 1.29 today. The in-play value on Betfair seems to have some extent ceased to exist.

Wozniacki v Paszek.

Wozniacki 11/10 StanJames
Paszek 11/10 BetFred

http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens-wimbledon/caroline-wozniacki-v-tamira-paszek/winner

It's on Centre Court so those prices will only exist until they get the roof on and restart play.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/internationals/euro-2012/spain-v-portugal/spain-possession

VC are evens over 65.5% possession for spain
Stan James are 10/11 over 67% possession for spain

WillHill are 7/2 over 65% possession for spain

Suggests that's a bet based on the price of the other 2.
Superp spot, Hills now go 5/4.

This is Spains results in their last 6 knockout games in major tournies, starting with most recent.
(Euro 2012) France 1-0
(World Cup 2010) Holland 1-0
(WC) Germany 1-0
(WC) Paraguay 1-0
(WC) Portugal 1-0
(Euro 2008) Germany 1-0.

Spain 1 Portugal 0 is 9/2 (generally). I'm just sayin'.

It is a low total however two points in mitigation

Grace Road is a wide ground, a bit like a squat rectangle. Straight boundaries hittable, not so easy to get boundaries square after the powerplay with sweepers out

Leicestershire can bat first and throw in a stinker, its happened this season

Would be more confident of the >32 boundaries if Yorkshire won the toss and batted.

Anyway whether its sixes or boundaries is up to Fred. Sixes for me, but my stronger opinion is on Chelmsford tomorrow night

On.

Yorkshire batting first.
Maximum I could get was £30.

TightEnd   WilliamHill   Cricket   Leics v Yorks   > 6.5 sixes   5/6   £30

27 Jun 2012 - Leicestershire v Yorkshire - Total Match Sixes
Over (6.5) @ 5/6
Stake : £30.00
Estimated Returns : £55.00

Where's blatch when we need him? He was a good tennis analyst.

Of the three golf bets suggested I like Hoey the best.

The other two have legitimate claims but are short enough imo.

Quick Banzai before the price goes

Negredo plays up front for Spain

33-1 Man of the Match

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/internationals/euro-2012/spain-v-portugal/man-of-the-match

Right price for the one striker for the favourites is sub 10-1

value.
