Daily Report, as @ 08:30, Tuesday July 3rd

On Sunday we made a loss ... of £1.50.

A couple of losses in the golf were balanced by a win in the cricket.

The European Championship ended with Spain battering Italy in the final. Torres scored which meant that Mario Gomez ended in a six-way tie for tournament leading goalscorer. Still, a win is a win. Llorente didn't challenge for top goalscorer because he never got on the pitch - not for a single minute.

Fred dodged a couple of losing tips which was nice.

On Monday, we just had a tip by Horneris; Kerber to beat Clijsters at Wimbledon. The result was 6-1 6-1 so that turned out nice.

It appears that Fred missed out on several enormous odds certainties yesterday; such is life.

What's coming up?

Wimbledon continues.

There's snooker in Thailand.

In cricket, there are two T20 matches weather permitting. Surrey play Sussex at the Kia Oval.

The Tour De France continues and there's some U19 football,

The T20 bets

Surrey unfortunately is goin to be a loser. Extraneous circumstances with this one, in that the death of Tom Maynard has hit the squad hard. They have to play five games this week in what is the toughest group, travelling to Wales for the funeral on their one day off. The Captain has taken extended leave of absence, and the weather forecast is grim

KP played his first game last night, out first ball.

So all in all, just a set of unfortunate circumstances.

Glamorgan at 33-1 desperately needed to play last night at Bristol. It was on Sky, but you could see that the ground was not playable. They too need to win games to catch up, and the weather won't allow them to get full games in this week

Tomorrow, if the rain stops, Federer finally plays a reasonable player who is not older than him. Youznhy has never beaten Federer and I am not going to waste my time trying to justify betting on him to do so this time. At 6-1 I do not know if it is value either. I do know that Federer is not as good as he used to be and that is enough for me to risk my money but not Fred's.

By the way, total goals for Euro 2012 was 76 - would have been an excellent sweat.

And the site being down cost Fred an easy rugby league win last night - can we sue?

P.S thanks for whoever gave the Kerber tennis tip, and the speed that Mr Novice put Fred's cash on it was the clincher.

Bit of tour de france interest on stage 3?

Sagan is getting to short to back now, especially as his team did a lot of work yesterday, no idea why tbh. But it is schewing the prices on the other riders, so....

I'm backing Phillipe Gilbert as my fav today at 6/1 - todays stage will be brilliant i expect, breaks all over the place, field thinned out, up hill finish. The big boys Cadel, Wiggins et al will need to stay up the front and cover things so Gilbert should be up there for Cadel and if it all looks ok he should get the green light to go for a win.

My big Banzai for a win is Vinokorouv - it would ususally be too early to think about him winning a stage but i don't think he has the legs for the high mountains anymore and he's won races on similar courses to todays stage plenty of times. I think he could well go for a cheeky win here in probably his last tour and the big boys wouldn't be too worried about him taking a bit of time off them.

Good chance a sky rider like Chris Froome may have a pop today once Wiggins is safe but i think he'd struggle to outpace people on the finish stretch.

Gilbert £30 win and £7:50 E/W Vinokorouv?
