Looking for Grand Prix tips- dont know much at all, saw someone recommending Safety Car to be in race at 13-8 anytime, apparently includes starting under safety car - thoughts from experts?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Grand_Prix

Having done "find" of the race reports of 2000+ there it would appear to be safety cars deployed in 03,05 & 10 which would indicate a bad bet although the forecast of showers tempers this a bit.

Sandy

the forecast is worse than showers

If it is big rain, a safety car is a pretty sure thing, as some of the race will run behind it, accidents or not

13/8 is a very fair price in this scenario

as I say, relying on crashes for a safety car here is not the right thinking, the huge run off areas negate that

Apparently ladbrokes are one of only firms who pay out if they start under safety car, and they are the 13/8

How likely if it's wet is a start under safety car?

Not unless it is extremely wet. Not a high enough proability to put into your thinking, really

Just accidentally (F1 bores me) caught the Sky Sports News piece on the GP, their weather person said it's gonna be terrible for tomoro's practice which will make it really hard for the cars to be set up, thunder, heavy rain etc, gonna just be sun and showers by the time the race is on

Essex to beat Middlesex in 20/20 tonight- Essex been bit unlucky so far and record doesn't reflect strength of side. Against a poor Middlesex side who they comfortably beat once already, at home- weather is good am by the ground so should be no interruptions.

£65@ 8/13 with Bl sq, paddy or corals

Kent are 11-4 in play and it looks like they are goin to post a reasonable total. Recommend a cheeky 20quid quickly?

They're bigger than 4/1 on Betfair.
