UAE are 9-1 to beat Team GB in the football on Sunday
To add to what was mentioned earlier
DNB price could be very tasty
UAE didn't look like 9-1 shots against anyone, from watching them against the Montevideo Massive yesterday
Ahh, back to Tips. Probably just as well, we were getting a bit off topic with all this talk of 50's cricketers & stuff, & I sense the Elders will be getting tetchy. I blame Mere.
The Team GB v UAE match odds are here....
http://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/football/mens/great-britain-v-united-arab-emirates/winner
....and the DNB is here....
http://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/football/mens/great-britain-v-united-arab-emirates/draw-no-bet
thank you
I throw 9-1 and 11-2 DNB out for consideration for a modest banzai
After Senegal's "tackling" last night, its a wonder our brave GB Boys will be able to walk. No wonder the Senegalese need thick knees
While senegal's players mostly played overseas, UAEs mostly play at home. I guess there are cash reasons for this , but still can't help feeling they are going to be rubbish. And despite Senegal playing mostly overseas they wet mostly rubbish too. Lucky, but rubbish.
I have taken the unthread like odds of 1.42 team GB odds on betfair.
Now I just need to convince myself Stuart Pearce is a tactical genius
. Just a couple of steps from completely delusional.
I didn't see the other UAE game so my opinion isn't worth much.
I love Doobsy more every day.

How can you take 1.42 GB without at least looking at highlights of the UAE game yesterday, available on IPlayer?
Sometimes it is good to go **** it and just press the button.

Good luck with the thread bet!

there isn't one, might not be one
No one would be mad enough to back the United Arab Emirates at football.
As daft as trying to find a winning F1 bet.

Where are we on the Road Race? Have an interest but far from a level of any real expertise in cycling and have been wondering what might happen if, heaven forbid, someone who isn't from the Isle of Man manages to win. You can get "Everyone else" at just under evens, if that appeals.
Have done a bit of a scour this morning and here's what I've come up with, ideally as a starting point for comment from the elders, rather than any direct tips (have learned my lesson!):
Gilbert – 25/1 -could win a sprint finish – short of form and long odds
Boonen – 18/1 – best e/w bet? - if it’s a breakaway winner the most likely person - if not still value for a place
Cancellara – 12/1 – decent bet for small e/w profit
Chavanel – 66/1 – good long odds e/w bet
Kolobnev – 125/1 – Fred seems to like a banzai – can be very good – if luck is on his side
Any thoughts?

I've gone for EW bets on Tom Boonan & Luis Leon Sanchez. Purely on the hunch that the Road Race has regularly been won from a breakaway.
Although the reports are suggesting Team GB (helped by Germany & Australia) are all out for a bunch sprint, which Cav will win.

personally i struggle to see uae performing to that level again
having said that they probably wont have to have a chance against woeful pearce
my cat is a better tactician
the uae coach may have pulled a masterstroke by stating that the reason none of his squad play abroad is because they are not good enough pre tourney

If there is a break, Sagan and Gilbert will be in it or at least one of them will be.
Greipel can beat Cav on a good day now that cav has slimmed down a bit. Cav will not be getting a lead out all the way probably, there are not enough team members to control a race, chase down a break away and still have anyone left for a lead out train. Cav will prob have to sort it out himself at the end and Sagan was not far behind on the champs elyses having made a balls of the last corner and giving himself too much to do - but the longer finish up the mall will suit him better.
The world champs last year was the best ride i'd ever seen from Wiggo to hold the group together single handedly doing something ridiculous like 30k at the front, then his lead out for cav on champs elyses where they just couldn't get a train past him and were out of their seats sprinting behind to keep up, hoping to see something equally incred again.
For having a great chance however the race unfolds Sagan has got to be the bet but i'll hope it fails and Cav wins.

Shalane Flanagan 25-1 corals womens marathon get what you can on eway wont be there this time tommorow
been put up by a very good judge
now only 14-1 left in two places generally a 12-1 shot
not worthwhile now

I thought the Uae football team looked a cracking lil side against Uraguay, surely 7/1 in most places to beat a ponderous looking GB is too big??
I thought UAE were brilliant against Uruguay and should have been more than 1 up. Uruguay's equaliser came at the worst possible time for UAE. GB have been poor and lack cohesiveness - they just dont feel like a team. Im also interested in UAE to qualify from the group.
This is me tipping up UAEto beat GB - 9/1 to win, 9/4 +1 and 5/1 DNB.
They are never ever a 9/1 shot, may not win but the price is way out of line.

well done Tighty/Maldini, UAE were class, Uruguay were very lucky scoring from a free kick and a snapshot. And I say that as someone who is on Uru for the group.

I replied last night, horsey, within minutes of your Post, as follows....
Thanks horsey.
Currently best quote (Corals included) is 16/1.
At that price, no point rushing, may as well await some feedback from others tomorrow.
I appreciate the tip, but I know nothing of athletics, and the subsequernt feedback on Miss Flanagan's prospects was not very positive!
I hope she wins it though, & you get the lot, I genuinely do.

Can you recommend a staking Plan for those three suggestions, please? I'm deffo interested, but I struggle to work out how best to balance those three possible ways of betting it.
Thanks.
PS - No, I do not expect UAE to win, but it does appear to rep "value" if we can stake it properly.
