Just heard you can get Suarez at 16/1 for top prem scorer. Surely a great value each way? 1/4 the odds for top 4. He is going to play every game, expect Lollerpool to be much stronger this season and other top strikers apart from Rooney and may RVP will be rotated out too much.

Get on!

As Mr Kendall may tell you later, this isn't thread thread for random punts and that one above definitely is. I agree it might seem to you that it might be a decent price, it actually isn't.

Liverpool will be nowhere near again, they don't score many goals and if Liverpool are in. The hunt for a domestic cup, then he would perhaps be rested at one point or another.

The bet about Rooney is a really good one and I would lump on, because that is a cert, but then again 9 months is along time to be without money.

But this is a thread for my suggested tips?!

Didn't realise there was any policing and my suggestions had to be ratified by someone.  I presume you are a highly successful sports bettor?

The Rooney bet is not a cert. It might very well be a great bet, but its not a cert!

I note RVP is now rumoured to be going there.

Sorry Junior, didn't mean to sound as bad as I did.

I just know that the tip you gave was given pretty much as a punt, rather than with detailed analysis.

I am not policing it of course not! But I am sure that Tikay would have said the same as I would have, but as harsh as I sounded lol.

As for RVP, personal opinion is that I can't see him going to Man United, they aren't spending like they used to be...

Ok. Well I am not sure it is a punt. Genuinely feel there is value in it esp as just signed new deal so mind should be on it fully. He had a lot of games out last season and was really just settling in. If I could find a bet where it's top 5 scorers only then that's better as don't think he will win it so maybe accept the win bet is a punt.

I'm not quite sure that I understand why you think liverpoo will be "much stronger" this season.

no idea if thread would be interested in this but i feel the prices are wrong

Pavel Pogrebnyak
4/6
Rickie Lambert
11/10

premiership goalscorer match bet with corals

interested in views on this

for me lambert is a cert to play up top for the saints all season and has a very similar profile to his old club mate grant holt.

I am not convinced by prog despite his career goalscoring record being more than fair, i am also not entirley convinced he will play every game and feel he maybe rotated with jason roberts (cant see them starting together not enough mobility)

any views?

Prog is toss, his last clubs supporters were overjoyed to get good money for him.

They don't have a haggered faced jock has been in charge and get the feeling they were just a bit unlucky last season. New players take time to bed in. Think they may be a surprise package.

I am not sure where Liverpool finished last season, about 8th (ish?). But to see improvement on last season, they need to challenge for the top 4 and that is not going to happen really.

Chelsea have improved with signings they have made so far, Man United and Man City will just finish above them and Arsenal and Spurs still both have better sides and without significant improvement in the team I can't see it happening. I cna see you finishing above Newcastle and Everton this time round and perhaps challenging with Spurs for 5th at a push and that is if they lose Modric, if they don't, they will finish in front of you too.

I can't see enough improvement from anywhere for them to make up 20 points on last season and I don't think Brendan Rogers is ready for the job.

Liverpool always draw a lot of bets, their fanbase dictates it.  Probably the most overbet side in the league.

I wouldn't believe a word WillHill say either, they offered me 56p on an 18/1 football bet yesterday.

VB Corry here in earls court... Argentina already look like they want to go home and I am sure Brazil will assist. While that is undesirable for our bet, it is entirely priced in.

I have resolved to follow the BadBeat model for suggesting bets on this thread, which is precisely why I shalln't make such proposals often.

Nevertheless, one of the reasons for making a proposal is knowledge that might not be available to the odds compilers and I believe I have come by some such information.

I would certainly emplore the horse racing experts to speak before any bets are placed of course. However...

At Newbury on Sunday, a horse led by 4 lengths with a furlong to go. The jockey released her grip and the horse duly obliged in easing off. She hadn't seen the second placed horse coming and the cruise towards the line wasn't quick enough. The jockey couldn't get her ride going again and it lost by 3/4 of a length.

My father was today in the company of one of the owners of said horse. To say the owner was furious with the performance would be an understatement, as they were counting a substantial return with a furlong to go on their 5-1 horse.

The horse runs again tomorrow. Although based at Newmarket, she runs up at Pontefract in a £3,500 group 5 race. Currently around the 2-1 mark and over the same distance.

I am therefore proposing a bet (of a size on advice from those who understand such matters) on THE DUCKING STOOL in the 2.30 at Pontefract.

What does Fred think?

the ground should be perfect for it, the other jolly seems to need cut.
