Yes but it was weird Tikay, saw ref to it but couldn't find the post so I had to txt him and he told me it was Rudisha to beat WR - think Monda sked him in thread as well...

....you're thread is just too populate lol

Such rofls, confirmed true story. I was going to get on it but didnt have a clue what he was saying to bet on so just faded it, he said it was for the 800 so I looked at the book seen the fav was 1/7 and next guy was 16/1 so was totally confused, standard, congrats winners.

One of the specials on skybet today for the olympics is:

Bolt to win 200m      1/6
Rudisha to win 800m      1/12
Taylor to win Triple Jump     4/7

11/10 all together

This seems very good value I have placed the odds for them in those events next to them. Rudisha seems pretty much a lock as he is immense. I struggle to see bolt losing. Although I don't know alot about triple jump the second favourite is 11/2 so taylor looks like a decent favourite.

I think there could be some decent value in this bet.

Im on it, gl if you are too.

EDIT : ive just looked on william hill and for these 3 to all win u get 0.89/1 so there is definitely some value in this imo.

Someone remind me of the SPOTY women nomination bet....surely it's looking good, women crushing. IMO - Jess obviously a cert nomination, I think Hot to Trott is a lock as well, then you've got a whole raft of possibilities. I think maybe Nicola gets in, the first evever female gold boxer and thedressage girl is a double gold medalist, and altho a minority sport her and Trott join Addlington and Holmes as double Olympians.  Maybe queen Vic, would have been a lock with two golds Sure I've missed some others as well.....lve Jade but think its too minority.

We don't have a "SPOTY Women" bet as such, but we have backed Jessica to win it outright, & we have also laid Jessica to a similar amount, after the view prevailed that Sir Bradley Wiggins would win it.

Apologies - I was sure I read a discussion on here about number of women's nominations markets....I love this thread so much but it's so active now it's like looking for a needle in a haystack when remembering something Smiley

Tyrur Big Mike, one of our Irish Greyhound Derby bets, finished stone last in his Heat tonight when 6/4 joint jolly, "slowly away, never recovered".

On Saturday, we have our other two runners - Robbiedgoneagain & Sawpit Sensation - in the 2nd Round Heats.

Charlotte Dujardin could be the dark hor...no I'm not going to do that. She could be the surprise inclusion in the shortlist.

I'd say she is more deserving of SPOTY than Adlington

You may be right - best ask MereNovice, he is our Women Corry. Very diligent he is, too.

Is there a "Female Only" SPOTY Prize, & Market?

Anyway, never mind that - next week we have Miss World. I may have a nice little coup lined up for that. Wink

OMG really? Are we tipping virtual car racing in Ladbrokes the week after?

Surely that's even more rigged than Eurovision?

I agree with the Charlotte shout as a nomination; would be harsh for her and hot to Trott not to be nominated. There will be top women markets and there was some number of female nomination markets, sure value as gone now as it has been all about the girls
