Simon, long suffering forest fan....

Simon Cox for Champo golden boot, 25-1?

Not for me. Was talk of him coming to Posh for around a mil last season but then he had a good spell with WBA and Forest mugs had to pay the inflated price. Quality but just can't see it tbh.

Regarding the lay of chelski in their opening match at Wigan.

Statistics aside, the Wigan squad looks really threadbare to me having already lost Rodallega, Diame and probably Moses in the next few days. I fear for them this season and have them as firm favourites for the drop.

Got to admire a bet where one of the corroborating statistics goes back 32 years.

Even though there should be no correlation whatsover

Good stuff, Brains

Nottingham Forest 1st game 1980/81  LOST 2-0

What an amazing stat!

The internetz  - sorry, internet my friend - had not even been invented for the general public back then, & half of the blondes were not even born.

This will make your eyes water....

Marvellous, just when I was in a good mood too.

The boy wiggins has done a drift.

Wiggins 1.89
Farah 3.2
Ennis 8.2
Murray 38
Any price the rest.

Mad skillz to close the Ennis bet and leave the Wiggo lay open.

We are doing this to death; however as we are sports fans its good discussion.

I watched the BBC highlights programme last night - thought it was a very well put together programme, however I am clearly as mad for the Olympics ac Camel.  Anyway, my lasting memory was the coverage and prevalence given to Jessica v Mo and Bradley.  Clearly all three were covered, however Jess got most air time (just) and more importantly - the closing sequence ended with her (beautiful) beaming face in a freeze frame.  She was the face of the games and has truly universal appeal ( lads love her, mums do, dads definitely do).  I think shes value still at 8.2

Talking of old Notts Forest teams I had a trial for Bristol City and that evening they played Forest in a cup game and I was given a ticket to watch. It was memorable as Trevor Francis made his Forest debut as the first million pound player. Not such a memorable night for me as I naively started talking to some guy and my lovely Welsh accent managed to get me a good kicking.
