Corals are running a bet that any footballer over the course of this weekends live games does the Mobot. They're offering 3/1.
There's at least five games being shown live including Cardiff City on Friday night. This is interesting for the following reason:
If you've never seen City before they do this thing called "do the Ayatollah". It's been going on for years and is mainly done as a goal celebration but can happen at anytime. As you can see from the photo, it wouldn't take much for the "Ayatollah" to become the "Mobot".
It's not even restricted to the players, even the owners do it.
And there's even been sightings of other players getting involved.
It's not even a bad bet considering how Footballers are likely to jump on the Olympic feelgood bandwagon. Worth a few pounds Mr Kendall?
I like the sound of this bet.

Did you notice that Dr Noh shot the lowest score on the final round at last weeks USPGA- a 65 ? Sadly he is not playing this week as I feel a win is coming soon.
Golf- The Wyndham Championship.
For the first time in a while I am feeling bullish about 3G's chances. He would have been trying to get his game in top shape for the PGA but missed the cut. According to his blog his iron play was great but he just couldn't chip or sink a putt. This is an easy course and a winning score of -16 or better is expected. So lots of birdies are needed and as we know from the Volvo matchplay he is capable of doing that.
Another player who I like is David Toms. He won't be hindered this week by his lack of distance of the tee and with the weakish field he will feel that he could win.
Suggest Nicolas Colsaerts £5 e/w @ 50-1 Ladbrokes.
David Toms £5 e/w @ 40-1 in several places.

Mr Rubbish.
As a Fun Fiver, yes, though it looks like a recipe for a dispute to me, when they say "ahh, that's an Ayatollah not a Mobot". In fact, I'd say the bet is nailed on to win, but for some reason, I'd not want to do it other than a bit of Weekend Fred Fun. And I will. Thanks.
hector.
Yup, we'll do those. 2x £5 EW sounds just right, too, gives us a weekend sweat for little outlay. And yes, I kept an eye on Dr Noh last weekend, & on 3G. Both will win in due course I hope, we just have to pick the right week.
Will place both bets this evening, & confirm when I have one so.
Thanks lads.

I think 3/1 about a player doing the Mobot should be a max bet.
Absolutely huge price.

There's a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to RVP's transfer to manure in the footie markets.
I very rarely advocate betting on my own team unless it's the occasional advice to bet against them, but Arsenal @ 3.85 w/o the two mancs in the league looks decent to me although we do have a fairly tough start to the season. I've had a bit on now with the intention of pressing if we drift.
I'm anticipating a decent season which I certainly wasn't at this time last year and believe me Song is trivial when Arsene is the singer.

Thr price is over the 5 live games according to the OP. Did you spot that?

Yes, I would have been tempted even if it had only been the Sunday games.

All noted as to the Rubbish bet, something about it just seemed too good to be true.
Anyway, he who dithers is dumb, & I missed the market.
I got £5 @ 3/1, & when I went back for more, it was 6/4, & they maxed me @ £40.
Details later, I have pressing matters to attend to for the next hour or so.
PS - Anyone know where I can get the running Corner Count for tonight's Televised International friendlies, please, updated as the matches proceed? BBC Sport are not doing it tonight, seemingly. Not that I've had a bet, like.
