Hull are very resilient - I can easily see them getting a point at Ewood Park? Not sure I fancy evens on Blackburn.
I would agree that Hull are resillient, but this game is too important. Hull can go there and get a 0-0 or 1-1 draw, can't see them winning to be fair.
So Evens Blackburn isn't really a bet then.

Could easily be a draw between 2 potentially overrated sides but the bet that interests me isn't tonight, its snapping up the 9/4 on Leicester at Ewood on Saturday if Blackburn aren't great, that could turn out to be a nice bit of value.
Well done on Burton Albion last night. Very good work.
p.s on here next time!

No.
I am confident they will win when you look at the side they will be playing, but agree Hull could go there and pinch a draw, because they are neither high scorers and have a decent back 4.
But I just think Blackburn will be too good for Hull, especially at home.

I don't mean to be harsh, so apologies
I'm just not sure given the turmoil Blackburn are in off the field, and this early in the season how anyone can say "Blackburn will be too good for"...any team in the division.
I've seen expectations for Blackburn to go down again, I've seen suggestions they'll do much better.
Surely its a lottery backing them at Evens, currently?

I can see what you mean, but when you look at both sides on paper and possible home advantage in this game, I think EVS is a decent enough price.
Blackburn played Ipswich (?) and went 1-0 up, they tried to defend for their lives and it failed. They are up against a team that are not really high scorers and are looked at as a team that will be in the middle of the table. I think with the discussion towards the game being that it's not a good time to back Blackburn it's obvious that Fred isn't going to get on it.
Maybe I see things differently, I just think Blackburn @ EVS is a half decent price. I am sure when I looked a few days ago, they was 4/6.

I think Fred missed all my tips for yesterdays football.
Doncaster and Wolves both won, I also tipped Frankel over 5 lengths in a topic on here, also just come in. But of course Fred isn't going to get on everything good for sure. Sometimes we swurve and it's all good, sometimes we get on and it's all bad.
Another one tonight is Blackburn to beat Hull. I have seen the likely Blackburn side and they have so much quality, enough quality to get past a Hull side who scraped past Brighton at the weekend. Again, up for discussion is the price and I think EVS is a decent price for Blackburn, it's pretty desperate times for Blackburn at the moment and Kean, so I can only see a win for Blackburn here.
As for the Swansea bet, I think the price is right, not sure there is much value. I wouldn't like to bet on this game, because both have contrasting styles of football and long ball football certainly has the potential to stop Swansea playing their usual game for sure. I can't see many goals in the game though.
...and you also tipped Arsenal (4/9), QPR (home) and Preston (home) to win at the weekend. You managed one short price win at the weekend, which was Notts Forest against Bristol. I don't know what the price was on that, but given their relative positions in the championship markets, then we weren't going to get rich backing it.
Fred has missed a few of my bets, some winners, some losers. I have been able to back them all, so no complaints there. If anything, when I have got good feedback, I have been able to change my positions, which can only be a positive outcome.
I just don't see anything to get irritated about.

Who is irritated?
If you look through the posts you'll see that I took the Arsenal bet back after seeing the line up, whilst everyone was pretty same-ish towards the QPR bet.
I was just adding that I am confident that Blackburn will get a result tonight. I don't expect fred to get on everything I say for sure.

Interesting in your daily piece u say Chelsea are unbackable and Reading at 12/1 is verging on Banzai. Read the Mirror's betting column (really well written humourous column, not sure how great the tips are) today, he was making the point that it was only 2 or 3 years ago that a comparable game, Arsenal v Hull, saw Hull at 20/1 to win, which they did, and that bookies don't seem to be pricing games up as one-sided as much, but on the flip side it makes the home banker worth backing, and (from memory) Chelsea at 2/7 at Billy Hills was like buying money (tho he couln't afford any).
As an aside, his banzai was no scorer in tonight's game at 18/1, not the worst bet considering Chelsea are a side in transformation going forward with new players and a new system, and Reading not exactly set up to pile forward Keegan style

presumably that column is still written by mcgovern? quite funny but a horrid tipster
i did post some stats that showed backing every odds on shot at home in the epl over the last five years returned a healthy profit, however the last two seasons have shown losses.

Daily Report as @ 0835, Thursday August 23rd
Once again, we placed no new bets, & none matured, so it is "as you were", & our healthy profit on the month remains intact. We don't need to force it, & it's not necessary to bet for the sake of it.
In our bicycle race thing, the Vuelta a Espana, after Stage 5, I think we are still leading. It is early days yet, but we are in there with a great shout.
http://www.lavuelta.com/12/es/resultados/index.html?e=5
I was unavailable for most of yesterday, so missed a few bets, both winners & losers, but it matters not, as others see them & can make their own decisions.
We remain in no rush to get heavily involved in football yet awhile, unless something special pops up.
5 or 6 different bets were stuck up yesterday for today, or this weekend, & I'll deal with them all shortly.
Yesterday, though, belonged to Frankel, & the Great Man, Sir Henry Cecil.
Exactly a year ago, he trained "Twice Over" to win the Juddmonte for Prince Khalid. Interviewed after that race, he said....
“If we couldn’t win it this year for Prince Khalid, then we would have had to wait for Frankel next year,” Cecil said with a smile.
That's long range tipping.
Despite the thrill of Frankel yesterday, my main memory will be how frail & ill Sir Henry looked. I can't bring myself to upload a photo of him from yesterday, but here is is in his pomp, back in the day.
