Connacht are now 10/11 at Boylesports so I guess they've seen the squad that's flying into Ireland for this match.

All good!

I love it Red.

All the runners would have logged client nicknames too. One guy basically lived at The Ritz and the only English he knew was football team names and monetery numbers. He had the log name 'smiler' coz he would go to the counter and say his bet ' tottenham hotspurs, 150 5/4' it would take a while to get it authorised and then count the money and the staff would speak to him and because he didnt understand he just smiled and nodded. We had a Fu kin loo kee too, i guess he had a good run when he started betting.

Who invented Asian handicaps?

I would love to know Keith, do you think many of those early big Asian punters were merely just arbers?

My understanding is that the handicaps have been around in Asia quite a long time and were invented by an Asian bookie whose punters wanted to bet on teams like Man Utd but didn't fancy having to bet 1/3 etc.  I know a couple of bookies in Asia that have been around for a very long time.

Wasn't the idea of Asian handicaps to mimic the US betting system of 2 10/11 chances?

When people mention Asian markets, I assume, given the context of them, they mean the markets for football matches from bookmakers based in Asia?   Where does one look to see these Asian markets?

I hope you don't mind me going down memory lane here.
....

Certainly not, more often please, love reading these stories from you guys.  Thanks for the links and before too guys.

Check the rules. Does it still count if he signs for Chelsea at half time and scores in the second half in a blue shirt?
