I, and I think the market, assumed Real may rest some players tonight ahead of El Classico but they haven't.  Think both the 4/7 and -1 1.90 represent value along with Ronaldo @5/6 to score anytime.

Thanks Stu.

The outright is too short now, but we will have a modest £30 @ 5/6, Ronaldo to score anytime, as Stan James are way ool with their price.

£30 @ 5/6, Ronaldo anytmie goalscorer, with Stan James, Ajax v Real Madrid.

ON

Ajax v Real Madrid : Anytime Goalscorer Cristiano Ronal… 5/6
Total stake £30.00
Estimated return £55.00

I quite like Man City@23/20 tonight.

I was sure that they would start at odds on for this match yet only Ladbrokes@10/11 seems close to what i'd have expected their price to be.

City have looked somewhat dicey defensively this season, yet they've had a few tough tests and Mancini's wish to tinker with the back line could mainly be to blame in the short term.

I doubt he'll mess around too much with the team tonight and with Aguerro coming back to full fitness, Tevez always very dangerous, numerous other threats all throughout their side, I believe they'll start thrashing a few hapless opponents soon enough and there's no reason that can't start tonight.

Dortmund certainly didn't pull up any trees in Europe last season, and although they beat Ajax 1-0 in matchday 1 at home and have started reasonably well in their own league this year, they are already 7 points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich after just 6 games. Munich themselves showed last night in defeat to a European minnow that perhaps it's not the strongest of German leagues right now.

Dortmond sold arguably their best player in Kagawa in the summer and look incapable of containing a City side with something to prove after both a shaky start to the league and a rather unfortunate, if brave loss in Madrid. Make no mistakes this is a huge game for the home side.

I believe the fact that the Germans won 5-0 at home this past weekend overshadows their own negatives. Much is expected of Lewandowski, yet Kompany at his best is more than capable of handling with ease far better players than the pole. In their last two away games in the league Dortmund have drawn one 3-3 and lost the other 3-2. Sounds like a defence that will struggle to contain the blue side of Manchester's attacking verve.

I thought about backing the over 2.5 goals market@9/10 in this match but find myself much more drawn to odds against quotes available on the home side.

I make them about a 5/6 chance yet they are 2.2 on the machine and 23/20 with betvictor and hills, that is fair value in my book.

I certainly think it's worth a £50 bet and would be interested to hear people's thoughts on this match.

There has not been much resistance to this, & there has been some gentle warmth, so we are going to go with it.

We have £50 @ 11/10 with Blue Square, Man City to beat Borussia Dortmund tonight.

Derek Riordan has found himself at league two because he has a lot of "ahem issues"

however he is a class act on the pitch and the 12-1 2 or more tonight is to big

I am moving from William Hill now as they are still dragging their feet about the refund.

So where do I go, where do the people advise from this thread? I have account with Betfred & Laddies, so no need to sign up there. So which ones are best, and maybe some sign up offers around?

You need an account with all of them to make the most money. Not sure about sign up bonuses. Aren´t they mostly about the same, circa 25 quid free bet?

Join a cashback website like Quidco and you'll get a nice bonus on top of the new customer offer for a few of the betting websites. Usually £20 ish cash back for going through quidco to place your first bet with Ladbrokes, Hills, PaddyPower etc.

There is also the odd offer for the online casinos. £60 cash back for depositing and spinning £50 with Ladbrokes, for example.

New customers etc.

Firstly, and most importantly, get yourself a Betfair and/or Betdaq account.

Nice one.

Redarmi - You say BF and BQ, but I remember you not long ago not being happy with BF? I think I might have Betfair account somewhere.

Camel - Thanks, looks ideal for weekend.

PS - Free bet offers, can u use that first or is it in T&C's? It was about a year ago since I had free bet with betfred...

Oh I certainly have my issues with them but for a recreational punter that only wants one or a handful of accounts they should be a part of your arsenal.  In fact if you only had one account that should be it.

Dortmund lead Man City 1-0, probably deservedly too.

Mancini's boys will need to improve considerably if they are to turn this one round.

Very deservedly, Joe Hart has been immense.

Some prices seem to good to be true, this may have been one of those cases.

I took some 3-1 on Dortmund to hedge a little at half time, due to feeling rather ill at what I was watching. During the break I also got on over 1.5 and over 2.5 goals in the match as one bookie totally over reacted to the nill nil half time scoreline, which did not do any justice to how much both keepers had earned their corn.

Come on City, bring on Tevez and steal this one!

Not very bright of the Dortmund keeper to try the verbals on Balotelli of all people, and the penalty, like all Balotelli pens, was pure theatre.
