Sheffield v Notts games have become bigger rivalries since the miners strikes in the 80's. A lot of bad blood generated there, we usually chant 'scab' at them at any opportunity and they like to wave ten pound notes at us. Not sure tonight will be too fiesty given its a low key game but i went to both play off games v Forest a few years ago and both were pretty hostile.

thread may need a banzai?
Pavel Wszolek first and anytime v england
33-1 with stan james
Ok
Has 8 goals in 40 polish clubs game which is ok for a midfielder, bit risky as he has only one previous polish cap but this season he has played a much more advanced role at club level and these goals and performance have got him in the team
27 on betfair 20-1 general 33-1 is to big

We need SEVERAL Banzai's horsey.
Pavel WHO? He's a clown!
We are on, only because I can never resist FGS bets on player's who have a name beginning with Wsz. Nailed on, this.
£5 @ 33/1, Stan james, Pavel Wsz to score first.
PS - We must be mad.
ON
Poland v England : First Goal Scorer Pavel Wszolek 33/1
Total stake £5.00
Estimated return £170.00
Full stake £ 5.00
Full Estimated return £ 170.00

Exactly the same with Cardiff City. My mates are huge City fans and I went with them on an away trip to Forest. Never again. Maybe 5 or 6 thousand City fans with their backs to the game, chanting "scab" at the Forest fans for the entire second half.

Finally, there is Greyhound Racing on SS3 from Newcastle, quite a good card. Hopefully one of our Greyhound hotties, will wise us up, & Scotty usually gives us a run down.

My Sky dogs form is poor. More a case of "Oh I can watch this race on my TV at home, must bet!".
Nevertheless, had a few bets tonight - limited analysis since I am a little busy and no actual recommends but if someone wants to back any of them up we can go with them. As you may have spotted, I do like a touch of value/big priced-ness.
8:00 - T2 Drumsna Major @ 7/1 - can lead the favoured one dog and has decent Newcastle sprint times.
8:15 - T4 Bowtime Regan @ 10/1 - backing this one based on its 29Sept run where it broke and scored in 28:62, a time good enough to beat these, barring perhaps T2 which isn't guaranteed a run. Trappy but worth a pop at the prices.
8:30 - T4 Tunes Beat @ 40/1 - pfft, why not. Untried over distance but can have best early on its day of these and has improved its 480m times recently.
9:10 - T2 Welton Arthur @ 5/2 - fastest dog in the race, broke track record two weeks back and can win both ways. Good enough for me.
9:25 - T2 Jaytee Hellcat @ 3/1 - don't think T4 can lead it and should be able to make all.

Scotty - many thanks for these.
I've just woken up, & am a bit groggy, but I'll take a look shortly.
I've a feeling you will make a profit tonight. Good luck.

Where's Singhee when you need him?
I know Detroit are playing great and the Yankees ummm no so great.
But CC at -114 against Scherzer looks huge to me..

Apparently you can bet on the winner of this weekend's IPO in Dublin on the sponsor Boylesport's website.
http://classic.boylesports.com/betting/?gi=25&sID=1447.1
For example, George2Loose at 150/1. Each way for final 9 is 1/6 the odds.
It's a 600/1 bar and, well, apparently your Tal-iness hasn't made even that (he says, generously) shortlist. Little do they know... A quid on that and Fred is back in the black. Just sayin' like...

Just been having this conversation. Would probably be -170/-160 at home but there seems to be an adjustment for the fact that the Yankee batters are so out of form and they have lost Jeter obviously. Detroit have felt like the right side in this series every game but tonight the Yankees seem like they are a fair price but they are one of those teams where it feels a bit dirty to be betting them given you know punters all over America will want to be on them.

49ers host the Seahawks tonight
For the purposes of discussion:
the Points total quote is very low: 38
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/seattle-seahawks-at-san-francisco-49ers/total-points
It is easy to see why
Both teams have very good defenses, and hit and miss offenses. In fact Seattle's is more humdrum than hit and miss
This season Seattle games have had points totals of 36,34,26,32,28,47
49ers: 58,46,37,34,47,29
the 49ers though can fire, they have scored over 27+ points in 4 of six games
I think the universal expectation that this will be a low scorer is in the price of 38
I wonder if there is any mileage in going for overs?
Both teams will be run heavy (and defend the run well too)
49ers traditionally so with Frank Gore, and a dominating OL
Seahawks with Marshawn Lynch, are conservative with Wilson at QB and not the best set of WRs
I think first offensive play to be a run is much shorter than 10/11
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/seattle-seahawks-at-san-francisco-49ers/1st-offensive-play
1st touchdown type, rush, is not odds against, in my opinion
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/seattle-seahawks-at-san-francisco-49ers/1st-touchdown-type
Frank Gore averages 78 yard a game this season, and 76 over a 100 game career
http://www.nfl.com/player/frankgore/2506404/careerstats
Quoted at 65 for this
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/seattle-seahawks-at-san-francisco-49ers/total-rushing-yds-frank-gore
Marshawn Lynch averages 91 yds a game rushing this year, 65 a game over a 78 game career
http://www.nfl.com/player/marshawnlynch/2495663/careerstats
Quoted at 70.5 for this
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/seattle-seahawks-at-san-francisco-49ers/total-rushing-yds-marshawn-lynch
I am sure there is a portfolio of rushing bets in there somewhere. Yes, both rush defenses are good
Something like
Overs Frank Gore: 65.5 10/11 Ladbrokes
1st TD: Rush 3/2 Ladbrokes
1st Offensive Play: Rush 10/11 Stan James
I think would be attractive, though others may have better ideas or refute this

Interesting, with SPOTY in mind, that she beat Farah by 4%

God that's scary - just saw and was about to post some dirty EW - however after checking oddschecker win only. 5/4 top three finish doesn't really appeal....however, I I said after the highlights programme when she "closed" it with her beautiful smile, she has a lot of appeal and a very strong following. Think if the top three place nears 13/8 / 6/4 i would be playing
