Tony Watt just scored Tikay with 3 minutes to go.

Unfortunately BTTS bet looks beat, St Mirren have had a fair few chances but been unable to convert.
Well deserved, he was a handful all game and Ran them ragged.

nice, added this in a double on your rec  Smiley
Glad to hear, what's the other half of it?

the other fred rec, Morton.

fancied a random Scottish football double  Smiley

good sweat from the Scottish fred tippers.

how did Morton draw from 2 up.

Collapsed, conceded a penalty.  Spoke to my Morton contact and he thinks it was harsh.  Ref deemed it to be a handball offence, my mate says it was ball to hand and not a thing defender could do.

Disappointing afternoon

Gillingham goals, Sheff Utd and Crawley won, but not good enough overall

Moral for me is to stick to lower down the pyramid!

As well as Morton, where thread was unlucky, Palace drawing from 2-0, Tottenham losing from 2-1 up

Interesting afternoon!!

One of those days....so far today I have backed five football teams all of whom were in front and none of whom won.

my mate has written a story for tomoro's sunday star or whatever it's called and tweeted it tonight. Basically the fave to get the chop in X Factor, Chris Maloney, has actually been the top vote getter in the first two weeks (and was voted into the programme by viewers). Seems an easy lay to get the boot tomoro at 3.85 on betty. He went first tonight, traditionally bad news, but this year they open the voting lines at the beginning of the prog, rather than after the last singer, so that should negate that disadvantage. There must be value in backing someone else to go too, but for now I'd lay the 3.85

Daily Report as at 0945, Sunday October 21st

We somehow contrived to lose £275 yesterday.

A whopping 16 bets were placed, our busiest day ever perhaps, only 4 of which got home. Which means that 12 lost.

Even with hindsight, the bets looked good value for the most part.

A Celtic St Mirren BTS produced 5 goals, but all to one side, the Chelsea lay looked good when Spurs were 2-1 up, we had Palace who were 2 up, Morton 2 up, unbeaten Tranmere became ununbeaten, & so it continued.

Three Rugby Union bets went down spectacularly, (Sunday will be a cake-free zone in Chez Hector), & a fantastic Girlie Tennis match went south.

Chompy gave us a horse – that’s his day job, he’s a proper pro – which finished 5th apparently. Rumours that, when short of pace at the furlong marker, the jockey asked if a chop was available cannot be readily confirmed.

On a brighter note, Snowy gave us an anytime scorer (£32.50 profit), & Tighty gave us Gills Goals (+£40), Crawley (+£30) & Sheff Utd (£35).

Looking forward, Doobs has given us the draw in today’s Newcastle – Sunderland NEDerby.

We are on Huddersfield to be promoted (currently 3rd) & Danny Kedwwell to be League 2 Top Scorer. Kedwell’s Gills scored 4 yesterday, but he failed to get on the scoresheet. It was that kind of day.

Frankel duly retired in style, how wonderful to see so much respect shown by everyone to him & his legendary trainer, after the dreadful football scenes on Friday. Very sad to see Sir Henry’s health so bad though.

In a way, it was lovely to hear Sir Henry imply that Frankel is one of the things that has kept him going these past couple of years. Just an incredible horse and a true gent.

Sorry to hear a Spurs bet went down. We aren't the most reliable of sides, but the result probably wasn't helped by Bale's partner going into labour just before the warm up, which ruled him out of the game - this is how well Fred ran yesterday, it seems.

We matched Chelsea from what I understand and it was a gladiatorial affair, with pugil sticks flying about the place. Never mind.

Very much.

What contrasting emotions - Frankel winning his 14th straight, never been troubled, so popular & uplifting.......then that interview with Sir Henty, looking so terrible, & his voice telling us so much.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings Sunday 6pm

Both teams a surprising 4-2

Both teams have "squiggles" as much borne of years of under-performance as anything

I think its a pick-em game

However, the bookmakers disagree and have Minnesota at home 6.5 point favourites

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/arizona-cardinals-at-minnesota-vikings/point-spread

Why might Arizona be interesting?

They have a smothering defense, that has only conceded 16 points a game in the six games of this season, fourth in the league. Logically if this continues in Minneapolis then a spluttering offense only has to score 10 points to cover that spread.

They held the Patriots to 18 points, the Eagles to 6, the Bills to 19 and have only conceded 20 points in one game this season

What Arizona also have though is scoring threats from special teams, notably Patrick Peterson last years first round draft pick. They don't quite match up with the Vikings offensive threats (Peterson and Harvin) but nonetheless have one of the best receivers in Fitzgerald who has 430 receiving yards so far and 3 touchdowns

I spotted this from a Vegas account on Neil Channing's twitter (thoughts please Neil)

"In Vikings games, favorite has covered 1 of last 8. In Cardinals games, favorite has covered 1 of last 12"

This reflects that both teams have been improving and generally winning as underdogs throughout this year

Recommendation (and I am tempted to pick the Cardinals at 5/2 straight) is Cardinals +6.5 at 10/11, generally available

If we saw +7 that would be lovely (I don't think we will)

That was followed by this comment by Mr Channing.......

I reckon the next move off 6.5 is 75% to be 7 and only 25% to be 6 so I would wait and take the 7 tomorrow, or if you are prepared to miss a winner if it never happens then hope for 7.5 on Sunday.

Fair to note, there WERE some reservations about this bet.

However, the line HAS now gone to 7 in places........

I think we will get on this. I'll leave it a few hours, for feedback, but the deal was "wait until it goes to 7". And it has goed to 7.

I you can still get 2-1 then get on. Sunderland midfield a defence looks weak as piss, Larson a bad widget will get destroyed by tiote and last time Shola, the Mackem slayer and demba ba played together they bullied man united.

Danny rose who is bad defensively vs one of the best players in the league Ben arfa.

Furthermore our captain is back to hopefully look after fletcher + Krul replaces
Harper.

Howay the lads.

what do we think of method of first goal header at 9/2 (Bet Victor) (thinking out loud, not a thread recomendation)?

Demba and Shola against Cuellar and O'Shea, Fletcher at the other end..
