best league in the world this.....

oops

Having a debate with a few mates on twitter on same subject.

brilliant tweet from the excellent david conn just now

"So those naïve German football clubs, owned by supporters, cheap tickets, safe standing areas, seem to be doing OK in modern football?"

Presumably the three English winners of the Champions league since the last German one show that indebted owners, expensive tickets and all seater stadia are the way forward?

no of course not

reality is the premiership has now gone to far for me i dont enjoy it anymore and watch a hell of a lot more foreign football anyway

and lower league in england of course

my PERSONAL favourite leagues to watch for entertainment are

La Liga
Bundesliga
primeria league (portugal)

This is looking like an unlikely Max bet on politics of all things, too.

We have missed a bit of price, but surely it can only move one way now?

Yes, no?

This questions is still valid.....

Anyone got any thought on the dortmund - madrid game? Just seen madrids back line..ramos varane pepe and essien. Looks vulnerable to the high pressing style of dortmund. Dortmund 12/5 ftw, thoughts?

That was a great spot.

Morning Mr Tikay. We were so unlucky with our cricket bet, not to worry he plays again soon.

As I mentioned yesterday a Fred hero is back in action tomorrow. Dr Noh is playing in the CIMB golf jobbie. He has beaten the Koreans so much that he now has to beat the whole of Asia. There are 10 Asians in the field and only 2 of them play on the US tour - Dr Noh and Charlie Wi. The US tour is the toughest in the world and I think that Dr Noh can triumph in this market. There is no cut this week so his consistency over 4 rounds can come to the fore.

Recommend Dr Noh Top Asian £20 @ 15/8 Corals.

Good job hector, thanks.

We are on Dr Noh, Top Asian, CIMB Golf, £20 @ 15/8, Corals.

One day, hoperfully, we will find an excuse to back one of the other "Top Asians" in this market. Surely we can find a place in our hearts for the wonderfully-named Thaworn Wiratchant, or even Prom Meesawat?

I think the max here is a sound investment. I like it, I'm confident from previous discussions Red knows his American politics inside out, not many truly understand this market (the people who made this price), so imo go for it.

Tomorrow's jobs.

Sort that Tighty bet on India - England. 4-0, 3-1, or singles is the dilemma.

Decide if we should back Obama to the Max at approx 1/2.

I have been checking twitter from last night and i'm going to share a few I thought were quite interesting:

FCBarcelona ‏@BarcaStat
This is the 1st game in 2012/13, in which #Messi doesn't score or assist any goal for Barca #fcblive In previous 12 games: 15 goals 7 assist

Kieran Caw ‏@Kieran_Celtic
Our starting line-up last night cost around £10,200,000 combined. Two players from the Barcelona bench cost £69,200,000 together.

FCBarcelona ‏@BarcaStat
305 - #Xavi (177) and #Iniesta (128) compeleted more passes than Celtic's whole team (276)

This is the 7th game this season (from 13) in which Barcelona concede first goal #fcblive #ucl They lost 1 of the previous 6 [via @edupolo]

FCBarcelona ‏@BarcaStat
Most #UCL goals for Barca: #Messi 53, Rivaldo 25, Kluivert 21, Luis Enrique 20, Eto’o 18, Stoichkov 15, Ronaldinho 14, #Pedro 13 #fcblive

Obama isn't going to get longer, unless he does something really stupid, Jesse Jackson comes out in support of Romney or the economy goes into meltdown.

I can't really comment on the value of the bet, but if you are going to snaffle, this is likely the best time to do it.

What makes this a max bet?  I follow politics, but am simply not close enough to have a view on the prices, and just assume those that are pricing this know more about US politics than me.

I made myself laugh and everything.

I reflected on it all day, read a load of gumf, listened to Reds, Andrew, Tighty, Fellaini & then Kuku, & it just felt right, judging by their comments & analysis.

The plan is to get November off to a flyer.
