Bent does not start for Villa.

Lambert could be in the dugout at his next match looking like this:

Form or no form, row or no row, if he doesn't think one of England's best strikers can score against Swindon, this is madness

I have asked around and have just heard a rumour from a decent source as to why Bent isn't playing. Can't say it on the thread but would explain why he's not flavour of the month.

Rumours are what they are, of course.

Hi teeks, I've written an NBA season preview for those lovely chaps at bettingon.com. Even tho I like them for the title, I'm expecting the Lakers to start slowly, a lot of injuries, went 0-8 in preseason, potentially without Kobe and Dwight Howard on opening night, I've backed Dallas at 4/1, even tho they have problems of their own, too big for me.

Anyway, here's the season preview for anyone interested, have a look round the site too, it's pretty good

http://www.bettingon.com/articles/2012/10/29/nba-2012-13-season-betting

Nice piece Jeff, thanks.

That Site is developing nicely, I had a look at the range of stuff they cover now - very imprerssive.

And then I saw that they have a whole section devoted to..........X-Factor.

Goddamnit, has the entire world gone soft in the head?

PS - Was great to see you last week (twice?), I really think I need to get out more, in every sense. I come on here & see X-Factor shite everywhere, in GPC we hear of folks lives being ruined because the chip denoms at DTD are wrong, yet I played Live Poker twice in the last fortnight & I coud not have enjoyed myself more, & I'm pretty sure most others had a good time, too.

PPS - Did you see the nirvana Level on GPC? Best level ever ever ever. And Team Pimple are still mocking him & telling him he played it badly. O....M....G.......

Really enjoyed that night in DTD, felf like u were hosting a party, u seemed to know everyone, what with the regs and the sky poker tour the next day, was happy just sat chatting rather than playing, tho the chaps there have got their friday night offerings perfect, pretty fast, three diff buyins, something for everyone. Was one of the most more pleasent poker nights in many a trip, including getting bashed up by george at the end. Think it's really clever what u boys at sky have done, generated a nice community there akin to the old laddies one, which given the amount of choice these days, takes some doing.

I think u rule out things like X Factor to your peril. I posted u a lovely bet here last week, fit all the reasons this fred was set up, excellent inside info that if the bookies had seen, had not been reacted to, but it got the tumbleweed treatment. I feel much the same about some of the sports posted here that others enjoy, like speedway or horse racing to a point, but find me a bet with some advantage on my side and I'm all over it. BettingOn have some nice tips, will pass on the kind words.

I don't migrate much to the hand analysis board but am in no doubt nirvana may be a genius. I think he might be the comic alter ego of one of the other regular posters here

Where's Karabiner?

Can we get a price on Wenger saying "We're concentrating on the League"?

I recently tweeted something like this at around 8pm:

First I get 3-outered and bust out of my tourney then I sit back to enjoy the footie...

Don't worry. You're at Old Trafford at the weekend. You always do well there.

Football is a horrible game sometimes. Not tonight, but sometimes.

Classic case of some big team players not being up for it at reading. Didn't see it coming at all!

This was in the papers (well, the Sun) the other day:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4612606/darren-bent-scores-with-rivals-old-striker.html

Anyway, we don't want to take away from the important things this evening.
