I have a a Q for you Tighty.

Do you think Dallas would win more games with Kyle Orton at QB than Tony Romo.

He is turning into Carson Palmer IMO, great fantasy QB but terrible at winning winnable games.

He is hearing footsteps

The OL is so bad that he tends to not set himself as he should, fearing he's going to get stuffed. Which often he is

Same would apply to Orton

At least Romo will make some unbeleivable plays, but at the price of throwing too many interceptions. Some of those interceptions are also on bad routes run by terminally stupid recievers too. Several haven't learnt the whole playbook properly.

The overall story is one of a chronic lack of investment and good drafting in the trenches going back 5-10 years (the owner loves drafting skill positions that he thinks sells tickets) which means the team has no running game, that pass rushers can tee off on Romo and overall his performance will be shaky

I was on the Jets last night, with a 7 point start.

Am I rich this morning?

Test match interim update

The pitch started worn, as said a couple of days ago it was used 3 weeks ago for a four day match

The result is it has the characteristics of a day three pitch on day one

There is spin, there is bounce and after 35 overs the ball exploded through the surface

England have at least picked the right team, and Panesar is bowling beautifully

This game will be over by Day Four, though

England are in it, having lost the toss, with India 140-5 but if India get 250 that is a very competitive score

If England restrict India to 200, they need to get 300+ to stand a chance

Can they? Two England batsmen are going to have to occupy the crease for ages against Ojah, Ashwin and Harbhajan too

Well I came on and checked oddschecker. I wanted to recommend a max bet on India if they had gone substantially odds against.

They've picked three spinners and I think its far more likely Englad will get rolled over for 150 than get 300

Frustratingly, India are still 8/13 best

Pujara is 64*. My admiration for Hector62 knows no bounds. An innings like this is going to make a huge difference.

I love the skill positions line Rich, that's my point really. Jones seems more interested in a lash larue approach to his players when a little bit of a common sense style might just win games but do it methodically. I agree the O line is a messy and it is a different ball game when other teams have big leads but I am amazed they are looking at a big contract instead of taking stock, It just cannot be coincidence that he is involved in giving games away early and then looks great when the D backs off and plays prevent.

the overall problem goes way beyond QB

The owner of the team is the General Manager

The General Manager picks the coaches, drives the strategy etc

The General Manager goes down to the touchline during games

The General Manager goes into the locker room at half time

He meddles, he employs yes men

but he funds it

A bit like Al Davis at the Raiders for all those years, it needs a thorough culture change

It needs an external General Manager to make the tough decisions

To end that sense of big time charlie and entitlement that so many players and fans have

To actually draft in the trenches, to not overpay for flashy free agents and to stop protecting underperformers

Sadly none of that is going to happen until Jones passes away and a generation of much talent (Ware, Witten etc) is going to be wasted because of all those factors above

Have we got him out at all so far? Incredible spot!

Morning Mr T. Is there anything better than a Test match squeeze ? Wake up with a coffee and get the Test match live update up to the start of the match and scroll through the happenings. Of course it helps when we have backed Hadrian and the pitch is spinning like a very spinny thing, a top maybe !

Well it turns out there is one thing better. To read a sentence like His Tightiness wrote has put the icing on the cake, except I am not an icing fan really.

I got up at about 5am, showered & shaved, got ready to go to work, (had to spend 30 mins tidying the house, as the Cleaner comes on a Friday morning), & deliberately "saved" the TV squeeze moment until just before I set off for work.

The big moment arrived, I turned the telly on.......and it was Dinner!

I also did an Online squeeze on the NY Jets. Don't even ask.

Hector, Pujara pick is an absolute ripper. You make exceedingly good second wall picks.

I can even forgive the caption under your avatar having doctvs rather than doctus.

If Hadrian can get this century, I think he'll be something like 350 not out.

Wonderful. A star is born.

England need them out for 220 or we are in a world of pain batting fourth on this wicket.

Yup, but Fred is pretty much win-win here, we are almost freerolling.
