newcastle are missing:

colocini, cabaye, ben arfa, cisse

however we are still 3-1 to win today v a ver very ordinary southampton side, who although played well v qpr are on a very bad run.

thoughts?

QPR 3-1 (a) W
Swansea 1-1 (h) D
West Brom 2-0 (a) L
Leeds 3-0 (a) L
Tottenham 2-1 (h) L
West Ham 4-1 (a) L

I don't know why Liverpool are favourites at Swansea. You can get just under 3-1 Swansea at home. Has already been recommended on here I think. Sicilian?

(Pleno, back a few pages Mondatoo wanted Southampton as a bet due to the Newcastle injuries etc, worth a look....)

Thanks Patrick.

Looks very tricky.

Newcastle are having a bad run, too, and are in danger of slipping into the relegation zone, with one win in the last 7 I think, but it has to end sometime, & today might be as good a chance as any.

Best price I can see for Newcastle is just over 5/2.

5/2 would have been unthinkable a month or so ago, when Newcastle were hot, but my gut reaction is that, tempting though it is, 5/2 is just about the right price.

Happy to be persuaded otherwise.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder Tighty, I forgot about both, thouigh to be honest, neither fill me with oomph.

I really need some of the other football lads to help steer us here, as I'm not sure the prices are too far out.

On my phone so can't check to confirm but I read somewhere recently that Newcastle have awful form in games following Euro games. I know they followed their last Euro game with a poor defeat to West Ham. Something that might be worth thinking about.

Morning Mr T. I wanted to tip Exeter to beat London Irish today, and I think they will, but I have found a better tip for you at a nice price.

As it is Sunday I have donned my new found F1 experts hat and looked at the Brazilian GP. I love it when it rains during the race and there is rain forecast. In looking at last weeks Frank Bruno bet I paid particular attention to those people who qualified from P10 downwards and how they then raced. I have then looked at how they performed during the season and I have found what may be a little gem.

Daniel Ricciardo races for the Toro Rosso team and has scored 10 points this season, pretty average. He scored in the 1st GP and then went 10 without pointifying. Now in the last 8 races he has got points in 5 of them. In those races he has never qualified higher than 14th but he has averaged a  gain of 6 places per race.

Today he starts in 15th place which is bang on where he usually does. I am not sure if the prospect of a wet race helps him at all as he has done well without it but at the price we get I think it is worth investing.

Suggest £20 Ricciardo to pointify @ 4-1 BetFred.

P.S I found this one all on my one too.

F1? Yikes.....

When is it, hector - tonight?

The pointify Market is here.....

Happy to have a small pointify speculate, especially as you never even stole it. Wink

Southampton price has gone now and i would think it is a no bet now at current prices.  It was 2.40 when Ray recommended it but it is 2.20 now on Betfair which I find it hard to believe is value.  I made it 2.30 possibly 2.25 fwiw.  Couldn't put anyone off Swansea although i think it has been mentioned before Liverpool seem to have less pressure on the road.

NFL - like the KC pick although had to hold my nose to bet it.  Know I have mentioned it before and I hasve no affiliation with them but if you want to bet dogs in the NFL get a sports Interaction account.  They are +11.5 KC when it is a general +10.

I think Newcastle are best to swerve immed post europa league games.

Heard a few pundits say their squad is struggling to cope with the demands of thursd/wknd games.

Tbh I would be looking at backing Southampton myself if the market didn't seem so correct now.

Meh.

Thanks reds.

As to those 2 games, looks like we (I...) missed the value boat, but neither jump off the page to me.

If there is a bet to be had, lets do it, but I don't want to bet for the sake of it.

We seem to have split views on Southampton - Newcastle, & some view that Swansea are value, but as you note, Liverpool are less woeful on the road.

All looks a bit trappy to me.

It was 2.50 at Stan James Tongue

Wasn't sure if that was value or not but assume so since you priced it a bit shorter.

Have backed Swansea.  Laying Liverpool looks fine too.  Doesn't look massive value mind.

I only just realised this was a 1.30pm jobbie, so I missed it anyway.

Another one down to my memory.....
