Suggestion I would like other people's viewpoints on - I will only tip the Championship btw, as I am obtuse - Watford at 3.12 to win away to Sheffield Wednesday.
Weds have lost their last 4 straight, and Watford have won their last 3 in 5. Aside from form I know nothing so would like some opinions.
Hi mate.
To put it bluntly recent form is the last thing you should base a bet on.
The whole world can see that Sheff have lost their last 4 and Watford are startng to gel and coming into form.
Looking at the most recent results and betting on the basis of them is the way an ice cream bets.
The way to beat the game is using information the general market doesn't know.
Whether it be subjective.. You feel Crystal Palace are performing way better than it's results suggest.
Or (even better) objective.. You were in the pub last night and Team Xs star striker and top rated goalie were there until closing time pissed out of their brains and today they are 4/6 at home to Team Y.
If you are just betting on previous results the juice will eat you up and you will go skint.
Cheers for letting me know about how to back in general. In hindsight it looks so obvious, but needed someone to just come out and say the obvious as I was oblivious.

Would be interested in the horse share btw, would be down to how it would be managed and how much would need to be invested with potential returns as well and sort of the works, or at least someone to explain generally what it entails. Would have a couple fo mates interested too, if we are really struggling for investment.

Backing correct score betting with a bookmaker is burning money. 5-0 is inevitable now.
I am a big fan of laying Liverpool when odds on at home, not so much away. Think they are always likely to raise their game vs a big side too. £100 clearly too big anyway.
I am a Bradford fan, but that Arsenal price looks too big. Would love to see us win, but got to bet with your head.

Watford to beat us is a good bet and good price, IMO.

On it and on Palace and the draw at 1.73. But would say with Murray gone there is not much value, just got the bet on as a bit of a match sweat as I listen to the radio.

That will teach me not read every page of the thread.
I understand the point Camel is making but my perspective is not just results based.
I see Wednesday almost weekly and know how bad we are right now. There is massive negativity within the mindset of the players and management.
Defensively we are poor but going forward we are even worse. The full backs dont cross the half way line, the midfield offer no support to the forward line which is totally isolated.
Jones sets up every game not to lose rather than to win right now and that's a recipe for disaster.
We signed Sidibe from Stoke who has not played for 2 years and is not match fit but is thrown into the first team because Jones is desperate and run out of ideas.
In short, its a downward spiral that I will be surprised if Jones can break.

Yuh, that'll all be discussed down the line if we get enough interest. Sixties Icon 2yo out of a sprinter ftw.
I'm interested mate.
Can we call it sum mat like Tikays tackle or some other carry on name?

Don't agree with this. I think if its very selective and rare backing scores such as 4-1, 5-0, 4-4 at huge prices can prove profitable long long term.
Quite like the Brighton bet put up by Anthonyl, dutching the 4-0 5-0 at around the 20/1 mark seems very reasonable. Surely they will dick a team at home soon the way they have been playing and chances they have been creating.

I like this banzai too and agree with the bet being selectively profitable. A bit like draws in rugby matches which relies on some good knowledge of the teams playing.

I am currently, in horse terms, an entire. Just so you know.

The Tikay pun game begins...
Tikay Taboo
Kendall Mint Cake (for hector)
Tony's Pony
Mister Fred
I suspect this could run as far as the horse.
