I think we probably will get the extra on Oakland @10/11 +10.5. I´d be surprised if it moves out any further than that though. Best to let Neil and Bobby decide how much more we have on.

At present, the best offer is +10.5 @ 5/6.

I'll take £30 of 5/6 for now, & maybe we will put some more on later if we can get 10/11.

Hi Tony,

My apologies, I worded that badly what I meant was that I anticipate the line being available @10/11 +10.5 and if it does move there then we should get on at that stage but for now we can probably hold fire.

No real harm done, only a tiny bit of lost equity.

Extraodinary achievement from Cook, a very special cricketer, his record is quite remarkable.

Ha, typical me, either miss the break completely, or be too quick out of the traps.

Never mind, we are only talking pennies. And it ain't won yet.....

Morning chaps.  A couple for discussion for the weekend:

Brentford v MK Dons.  I was expecting this to be a pick em affair, but I see Brentford are underdogs at home.  Prices around the 2/1 mark look generous to me considering they beat Sheff Utd at home recently and seem more consistent.  MKD have my respect but I don't think they should be as favoured as they are here at Griffin Park.

Also - I can't be having Forest at evens against a team as solid as Sean Dyche's Burnley.  Forest have had some abysmal performances this season at home and I don't rate O'Driscoll at all.  Think this would be one where I would be looking to lay the hosts rather than pile into the away team though.

Thoughts on the above?

At first sight, I like both, thanks.

Let's see what others think.

Nothing to bet tonight, but Bwin releases all their lines 2-3 days in advance and I think we should be on one.

OKC Thunder -6 vs LA Lakers

Thunder are in very good form at the minute on a 6 game winning streak and are 15-4 in the season (9-2 at home) Whereas the Lakers are misfiring and really struggling to get any sort of momentum in the league 9-10 in the season (2-5 on the road)

Last season the Thunder beat the Lakers 6-2 and won 4/4 at home, the only games the Lakers won were one by 3 points and one in overtime both at staples centre.

I think this is such a good line its too good to pass up and wait for other books to release theirs tomorrow as I expect them to have Thunder as bigger favourites.

Lakers defence has been woeful and non existant at times and Thunder are #1 in points scored so far this season, i believe they just have too much in the locker for the Lakers to cope with.

Suggest £110 with Bwin Oklahoma City Thunder -6

£110? Gulp.

I guess from that, as you are generally prudent with your bet sizing recommends, you really rate this bet.

I owe you a few, I've missed too many of your winners.

We shall plunge.

Just to clarify when I say Brentford are "more consistent" that is more consistent than they were at the start of the season, not more conistent than MKD who are on a bit of a roll I believe.

Oakland +10.5 are sitting there waiting to be backed at 1.94 on Betfair.

 (always worth checking).

(I'm not suggesting having even more on by the way. This is a medium bet, and will probably be the fourth biggest I make on the weekend's NFL).

Thanks Neil.

Maybe we have enoiugh on then. We currently have £55, which is a "medium" bet for us.

Remind us what your biggest NFL bet this weekend will be, then......Wink

yeah, i really like it. You can probably wait to hear some other opinions if you would like. I doubt it will change before the end of the day

They looked fairly insipid & inept at home to Wimblerdon last weekend, or I thought so.

Bet3654 are running their £50 in play bet on Sunday for the Manchester Derby

and Paddy Power are running their "If Van Persie scores, losers are refunded" offer

Might be things to go for the thread in the light of this?

Ive got a friend who makes so much money off these offers. Pays people £5 each to let him use their bet365 accounts to place a safe bet (for the original) and then uses the free bet on FGS's makes a mint.

Look at the things T4T had got me doing!

I just went into the Ladbrokes by my office and tried to place a 4Timer on today's chess matches (FWIW three draws and Nakamura to win) and they wouldn't accept it. "Can't do it as a multiple"

I can bet on virtual racecars and have the money run on to Clonmel, but four prices of all under 2/1 in a market that is on its website may not be subject of an accumulator.

World has officially gone mad.

And I went out in the cold.

Don't understand that at all, Tal, it is no different to backing 4 different races at a race meeting, or 4 football matches, surely?

Ladbrokes clearly hate money.

Overound moving to 115% in the games tomorrow?

Prices were 11/10, 4/7, 13/10 and 17/10.

Can't be about the price obviously and £10 stake isn't going to crush the share price.

Must be some reason (possibly including the person behind the counter not understanding what chess means)

We've established they're grimming the market, so surely they would love a 4timer?
