This is most likely a dumb question but here goes anyway...
After reading most, actually, nowhere near most, of the thread at different times of the year, I've seen it mentioned that Fred is sometimes limited with certain bookies, can't you put them off your trail by betting on one site that you want to stay in the good books of and laying on betfair at the same price. Like for example Real Madrid at 1.4 on pp lay same price on betfair.
Can't you 'try to lose' some of these on the bookies that limit?
Await being mocked lol

Not a bad idea, but I can see 2 problems.

First. You will lose the commission on every bet.

Second. If you are betting at the betfair price, you are taking the best price available with the bookmakers. Hence it will add to your profile as a price sensitive shrewdie who only takes best odds.

Meh I just read it on someone else's blog when trawling the net lol.
It said £2.50 commission is a small price to pay for hopefully 'losing' with the bookies but getting the money back on betfair.
Kind of understand point 2 tho, I think lol, thanks.  Smiley

If you are betting at £50 a pop (£2.50 commish) and not cheating, it will only be the tosser bookies who restrict you.

And they will restrict everyone who has even half a clue.

I might be posting alot betting against the LA Lakers in the next few days too, they are all over the place and its a decent time to pound on whoever they are playing they travel to Cleveland tomorrow so hopefully we will get a decent line.

OK, so here goes. (Fred loves home underdogs right? Smiley )

Lakers travel to Cleveland tonight to face a Cavs team who has been without their star player (Kyrie Irving) for a few weeks now and have been getting pounded day in day out. Kyrie has been cleared to return to the teams starting line up tonight and I expect it to be a buzzing atmosphere. Irving and Varejao play great together and not so well without one another, Varejao will be able to compete with Dwight Howard for every rebound and may even win the battle of the rebounds which could be crucial in this game.

Lakers have been lolbad recently and just show no togetherness and no will to fight for the cause. Now seems like a really good time to back what will be a buoyant Cavaliers team very pleased to have Irving back playing.

Im in for 3 units on Cavaliers +6.5.

Ive also had a little fruity 0.5unit punt on the Cavaliers to win outright @ 3.52 on Pinny for those degens out there that fancy a punt.

Cavs +6.5 for Fred though. GL

LA Lakers 94 - 100 Cleveland Cavaliers

Holla!

Hope Fred got on the Cavs tip, excellent call.

Noticed today that the terrible Bobcats have been working out with their owner, who happens to be Michael Jordan. He's not gone to any training sessions or done anything a normal owner wouldn't do, but today he's been working out with the younger players, working on flaws in their game, even ended up playing two of the team in one-on-ones (even tho he's now 50). Interested if the Camel or anyone else who 'swims against the tide' think working one on one with the greatest player ever will have a positive impact on  pretty terrible team. The Bobcats host the Clippers, who will be playing back to back away as they are playing now, and have an 8.5 start. Will there be a 'Jordan effect'?

Chelsea 4/5 for the Milk Cup is ludicrous.

Fred should lay the fuck out of that.

Well done Tom.

Unfortunately.......I am a (very old) working man, & I can't do these late nights any more, so once again we missed one of your winners.

Hopefully a few of the lads got on though, thats the main thing, so keep Posting them please, no matter how late.

Thanks Andrew, I'll refer that to those who understand football. QPR fans may also contribute.

Hope you are enjoying New York.

PS - I mentioned increasing Fred's bet on QPR to be relegated, & there was no interest (which is fine) but I'm thinking of having a good bet on my own non-Fred account. They are currently 8/13. Views, please?

Im already on them to be relegated but 8/13 looks plenty big enough to me at Bet victor ( Better than betfair )...they would be 1-3 2-7 if it wasnt for the Harry factor

The Bobcats host the Clippers, who will be playing back to back away as they are playing now, and have an 8.5 start. Will there be a 'Jordan effect'?

I think this line is pretty tricky to pick a side tbh. As you say Bobcats have been woeful and anything they can do to try and help the team can only have a positive effect, however the team isn't just made up of young players. Players like Sessions just aren't pulling their weight. Bobcats have lost 8 straight whereas the Clippers have won 7 on the bounce and are cruising along nicely. They have had a tendency to struggle against the weaker teams so far this year though.

IF i had to pick a side I think it would be bobcats +8.5, 8.5 points is ALOT at home and they don't have the worst home record, but I think I'm just gona keep away from this game as you can't quantify what effect MJ will have on the teams performance.

Early lines i like the look of are Hawks -4 and Thunder -13.5 but I'm gona have a proper look later

If it were possible to do that before I retire for the night, I'm sure Fred would get on.

Daily Summary as at 1100, Wednesday 12th December

We lost £45 yesterday.

Simple really, two bets, two losers. The Cheltenham bet nearly sneaked it at the death, but Arsenal, despite really giving their all, working hard (especially Wilshere), & a get out of jail penalty shootout, were not unlucky.

PS - If Tighty needs clues as to the location of today's Blast from the Past, he is losing his touch.
