Question for NFL literati:

Adrian Peterson needs 208 rushing yards to break the NFL single season record.

The Vikes host a Green Bay Packers team who have locked up the division and, unless I'm missing something, don't really have anything to play for today. The Vikings can - if I'm not mistaken - secure a wildcard berth if they can get a W.

The line for "All Day" do his best Forrest Gump impression this evening is variously set at 122.5 and 125.5. Are the Vikings going to be giving him the ball more than normal? Will he be up against a second string DL? Will a first choice DL be eager not to get injured?

Could betting O55.5 receiving yards for James Jones be a better idea if there could be more formations to stop the run and more space to take on the GB Secondary? 10/11 with BetFred and Victor.

Or are all the markets about right, 200 yards is asking too much and I should mind my own business?

Massive game for Green Bay, the number 2 seed is on the line.

Sorry. You're right. I missed that they could be caught.

It's ambitious but I haven't completely ruled out the #2 seed for Seattle. I reckon they'd be about 2/1 shots for the Conference if they get there.

The Vikes will be doing anything to just win the game, often that means giving ADP the ball as much as possible but the record will be irrelevant to the Vikes play calling. So if Green Bay stack the box expect them to use play action etc.

Would steer clear of the bet and the whole game tbh, though the game is big for Green Bay it is not a must win and some % of the time I think they just don't turn up for this game.

It snowed yesterday, then the front passed through

We have temperature going for us -2c this evening according to forecasts, and a bad field (real grass, cuts up)

would have been nice to have had snow too.

Ooh, thanks horsey.

Double whammy that, too, we want Suarez goals, & QPR relegation. Wink

My information from my sources......tell me that cold weather is not a problem to scoring.

We want SNOWWWWWWWWWWWW

Harry's teamtalk was stolen from a swimming pool.

It is a problem to scoring, or can be. Kicks are tougher for field goals, and receivers find it harder to hold on

Cold with wind/wind chill is preferable to low scoring

Good morning.

Our overnight wager on the UFC appears to have ended unsuccessfully.

Here's the winner telling the tale.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2012/12/30/3816946/costa-philippou-says-he-will-not-fight-chris-weidman-following-tko-of

We've got horrendously unlucky.

The first round played out exactly as forecasted - Boetsch clinched Philippou against the cage, worked a takedown and landed some strikes. Comfortable first round and the 2nd and 3rd rounds should have seen more of the same. Except.....

Boetsch broke his hand in the first round. Then an accidental headbutt at the start of the 2nd round left him bloodied. Then an eye poke topped it off and his vision in one eye was gone.

With a duff hand and the ability to only see out of one eye we had no chance and Boetsch gave the fight away, pulling guard in both the 2nd and 3rd round (as he could do nothing on the feet) and eventually succumbing to strikes.

May sound like a sore loser but anyone who watched the fight will tell you the same story. We'll get it back next time, was a good bet.

No worries man, I read all the reports, & watched the interview, just one of those things.

Next time, we'll get 'em!
