another easy win which could see our boys move to #2 in the polls as the current #2 team lost today, also st mary's who we have beaten twice defeated a very decent creighton team strenghtning our form line.
I got a few of my mates on this when you posted it up, could be another epic sweat for Fred!!

Just noticed on oddschecker one of the big market movers of the day was Hollo Ladies from 150-1 to 33-1 in the Coral Cup.
Northern jockey down south managed to go round the houses on him admittedly, but didn't inspire me enough to have a go. Not my money!

Well done Moony!

Tomorrow's Survation poll in the Mail on Sunday will have the Tories 4 pts clear in Eastleigh. The Betfair market is reacting quickly, the bookies aren't. Lots of firms have 7/2 and Corals have 4/1. With so may of the voters in all the polls so far undecided I don't think this bet is dead and buried. I think Fred should press at 4/1 or even 7/2. In the morning I think they'll be 2/1.
£40 bet maybe.
Thanks Neil.
I promised to Update the official details, (needed for MereAuditor) so we have.....
£40 @ 7/2, Wm Hill, Tories to win the Eastleigh By Election, down to Bad Beat.

Daily Report as @ 0955, Sunday February 24th
Look away now........
We lost £105.66 yesterday.
Not a huge sum, I suppose, but we could not do a thing right.
Eight bets completed, & of those eight, 7 lost, & only one won. And the winner netted us.......£4.49.
One of those days. We were not unlucky, either, though we did have some close shaves.
The most bitter pill of all was McDowell, £10 EW @ 33/1, he just needed to beat Day & the place part, a nice bet in itself, was home. Having looked invincible all week, he soon went two up in his last match, but then inexplicably seemed to mentally implode, most unlike him. Day is tidy, but did not strike me as special, but he got the upper hand & we never looked like getting back on top. McDowell's main problem seemed to be his length off the tee, Day was always 2 or 3 clubs shorter for his approach. With such beastly & unforgiving greens, that was a big handicap. (-£20)
We had Kaymer, too, but he was never in his quarter final & got a right good hiding. In what is, for me, a bittersweet moment, as you know, I misclicked on Kuchar (£25 @ 40/1) so I find myself in an odd, but rather nice spot here. (-£20)
France, after looking superb early doors, let us down. Never trust them French, eh Spacefrog? (-£20).
We had two FTS in the Italy Wales game, we scored, but not "First". (-£10).
We had a Peterborough FGS, but Posh never troubled the scorers. (-£20).
Finally, we had a horse, Hollo Ladies, which failed to oblige, but which attracted a bunch of money for Cheltenham. (-£20).
On the plus side.....
We had £10 @ 4/9 on a "Sin-Bin", & even that waited until the 79th minute before obliging. Early in the game I had suggested it was a 1/20 shot. Quite so. (+£4.49).

previously mentioned thai golfer takes an 8 on the par 5 last to lose by a shot
now that it is not after timing i can quite "happily" say that i backed her at 80-1 win only pre tournament
having to update the scoreboard like the teletext days was painful and seeing the 8 even more so

Didn't I read that the try scorer bet paid out double if they scored the second try?

So that did not make very bright reading for a Sunday morning, did it?
Well not all is lost. Just most.
Today, if Ireland can overcome Scotland, we get our £25 BWin Promo Treble home for a nice profit, & even if it loses, we have a sort of money back thing. I think.
Our 6N series bets are still live, though not exactly in robust health.
Wales can still finish bottom, though it would take a miracle, & Ireland can still finish top, rinse repeat that miracle.
Tualigi (Top Try Scorer) seems our best hope, (£10 @ 16/1) as he is right back in it after missing the first two set-to's. It would sem that the 6N has not been kind to us, but you never know, we may get out of it.
In Proppa Cricket, We have Pujara, Top Little Bloke Scorer, & he scored a steady 44. However, no less than THREE Little Blokes bested that - 81, 107, & 121 Not Out.
We have Pressed on the Eastleigh By-Election, (Mail on Sunday), & the Tories price has tightened a shade overnight.
We have Les Mis in tonight's Oscars, £20 @ 15/1.
Gonzago Bulldogs continue to excite, & won again last night. £20 @ 33/1, that could substantially repair our bright red Basketball ledger if we could get home.
Don't forget, though, that Cheltenham is round the corner, & we already have £155 invested, with, doubtless, plenty more to come. Make a loss at Cheltenham? Unthinkable, never been known.

I understood that to be, or mean, it paid out Double IF the selection scored the first try & then scored a second try.
That was my understanding of the offer. I may be wrong, but the nice Mr Done has settled it as a loser.

Lots of televised sport today, including (Club) Rugby Union, Super League, Football (Swansea-Bradford & Man City-Chelsea), Accenture Matchplay, but our interests currently sit with the 6N between Scotland & Ireland.
If Ireland can win that, we get the BWin £35 Treble home, & it keeps alive our "Ireland to win 6N" hopes. Double whammy time.

It's so cold outside and I'm so excited about Oscars that I plan a snooze so I can be all fresh as a daisy.
Normally, obviously I would be out marching round two dozen betting shops on a Sunday morning, (some people go to church, some people go for a stroll around the park before their Sunday lunch).
Anyway, today I can't be bothered. I should though because I have found a couple of good each-way bets. Both races are bad each-way for bookmakers but they may not realise it in both of them. In a world where bookmakers took whatever you offered them without a quibble I would have a decent each-way single on the 1st one I shall mention, a smaller each-way single on the 2nd and a nice each-way double. I would suggest maybe £20 e/w, £10 e/w and £10 e/w for Fred (I realise that adds-up to a bit). These bets should not be welcomed with open-arms and they may result in account closure or restriction, even if they don't win. The double is over 100/1 though so who cares I say.
2.20 Towcester The race is dominated by Cayman Islands which seems a solid favourite. From the current price of around 6/4 on Betfair it could shorten and I wouldn't lay it. It is possible to make the case that these John Ferguson horses are all too short and they need to settle and learn to jump, but this is not one I am massively against. The reason I like the race each-way is the weakness against it.
There are 6 other runners under 100/1. Donald McCain practically said his is a non-trier waiting for handicaps, Henry Daly is a terrible trainer who is overated and his Oyster Shell is typical of his - a plodding chasing type. Otterburn of the Pipe's is a mystery. Of course they lie and cheat but he did say it hasn't been the easiest to train and I could see it being a big drifter. Ballycula has one piece of form when 66/1 in a much better race and doesn't have a solid e/w feel.
That leaves us with Caroline Keeil's Darkestbeforethedawn. Ran it's best race last time at 66/1 and is now down in trip (I have that as a positive, some think of it as a negative), and it has soft ground form.
Could win and will definitely be thereabouts. Great e/w bet at 10/1 with VC and B365 (sadly Hills just cut it).

Ooh, one more I forgot.
We are on Wolves to be relegated, £10 @ 15/2. They are in to 2/1 now, so we are in a good place with that, & they face Cardiff today.
Meanwhile, QPR, fast running out of games, are now 1/7 for the drop, we have 8/5.
Bad day yesterday, but plenty to look forward to.
