Backed Bolton in that one (though it's prob no longer a bet at current prices), make Peterboro shade over 4/1.

Here is an afternoon's research.

The latest Snooker ranking event has begun, the World Open in China

The draw

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_World_Open_%28snooker%29

The market

http://www.oddschecker.com/snooker/world-open/world-open/winner

Important to note that the three market favourites are Selby, Trump and Robertson.

Then we notice that all three are in the same half of the draw

So I look at the other half of the draw. This is interesting as it contans a lot of players with little current form

Last year Mark Allen won this.....seeded 1. Higgins is vulnerable in best of nine matches, he's the second highest seed in the half. Mark Williams? gets homesick if he crosses the bridge into England these days...

So who else is there in this half, that might get us to the later staes where we can trade around it?

Shortlist

Maguire
Bingham
Ding Junhui

Maguire beat Bingham 9-8 to win the Welsh recently

Both he and Ding are 10 to 12-1.

Both though are not serial tournament winners these days and 10-1 ish is miserly

However the value is Bingham, currently available at 27-1 on Betfair

He has a win, two finals, two quarter finals in nine events played this season

I would expect him to beat Higginson in the 32, is no worse than Evens to beat Higgins in the 16 and then we'll see

The recommendation is £5 Bingham to win the Snooker World Open at 27-1 Betfair with a view to trading out if he gets to the later stages

surprised how small the market is on betfair for this? only 4k or so matched and the tournament has started is this the norm? (dont follow snooker)

the back side is about 130% !

Was that during Saturday's games or at the very latest straight afterwards?

Huge price that.

Big few Days for your Napoli bet, they are currently away to Udiense and host top of the table Juventus on Friday night.

Bolton were 19/20 with VC on Saturday evening but the price has collapsed since then.

A lot will depend on the team we field.

If Newell and Mendez-Laing both start I wouldn't be at all hopeful.

However, if Newell is dropped and Swanson comes in, along with Petrucci I wouldn't put you off Poshies. Petrucci is the key name. If he's in we'll have a far better chance.

Don't worry. He probably clicked Higginson anyway.

What's the story with the four who got transfer listed and dropped a few weeks ago?

Seems like two of them have been forgiven at least.
