Hamilton attempting to get our bet home after forgetting who his new employers are in the pit lane!

Estimate it cost him 5-6 seconds if I heard the commentators correctly.

Updates

Wickets

Broad 12
Anderson 11
Finn 9

New Zealand not enforcing the follow on was not in the plan for the three way chop!

A maximum of seven wickets left to take for England in this series

Runs

Trott 245
Compton 230
Prior 201

England are going to have to bat again to save the Test. A close sweat here!

India beat Australia 4-0

Vijay 430 runs
Pujara 419 runs

so that was a narrow loser

In the Grand Prix, Hamilton podiumed, as Doobs and I feared once the weather meant he qualified well

Grosjean 6th, and a decent performance at the price

So some losses to tally up, and Anderson/Trott sweats tonight....

Looks like some small numbers are going to cost us a decent profit.

Early one for next week.

Doncaster playing away at Coventry and are currently 19/10 with Spoilsports.

Donc 5 points clear at the top, won 4 last 6, won yesterday away.

Coventry went into admin on friday and has clearly affected them losing to Portsmouth yesterday badly.

Previously they had won, but narrowly at home 1-0 to bottom placed Hartlepool, and also drawn at home to lowly Colchester.

At best I would have both teams the same price but at almost two spades Donny look worth at least £30 win at 19/10 with Spoilsports.

Anyone know any reason why Donny such a big price?

Black Caviar to win any race at Royal Ascot, 7/2 Coral.

She started 1/6 last year when winning the Diamond Jubilee and will be about the same price in the King's Stand.

So it's basically about 3/1 that she travels over, which seems too big given what was said after she won the other day.

Recommend £40 @ 7/2.

While you're on the phone, also have £5 on All Too Hard @ 16/1.

In SL today

While her trainer would be quite happy to see his pride and joy finish off her career on home soil, he admits the owners are keen on a return to the Royal meeting this summer.

"On the Sunday post-Ascot last year, I was resigned to the fact she'd run her last race, but it's amazing how she's returned," Moody told At The Races.

"She probably hasn't been this sound for three seasons or so and the way she's going about her racing, never say never - there has been quite a concerted push towards the fact she may head back to Ascot again this year.

"My mindset is that there's definitely some unfinished business, as there is no doubt you didn't get to see the best of her.

"I've got no doubt I could present her in better shape, but I believe there are a lot more options for her here and they're a lot more valuable monetary-wise.

"Australian racing really deserves her, but the feeling I am getting from the owners is that they would very much like to come again (to Ascot)."

Also Coventry have had to leave the Ricoh, so they don't know where this match will be played.

Chess picture of the day:

The cameras have a chance to get some close-ups just before play starts in the Carlsen-Radjabov game.

Radjabov takes the opportunity to make sure all of his pieces are just right before he begins. This is something people do from rank amateur to super-GM.

Just one of those little quirks of the game, like chip stack housekeeping.

With the Wakefield rugby league game off the best rugby bet looks to be to go for low points in the Saracens  v Harlequins rugby union match. I doubt that Mr T will have tie to get on but anyone who finds the urge for a bet then under 40.5 points at 10/11 is available at Betvictor and Coral. It is far too cold for running rugby and both teams have strong sides out with Saracens having the stingiest defence around.

Epic sweat. Had completely written off the money @ 24-12 shortly after halftime. Savage D from Sarries, as hector said before the game. Repelled a 19-phase attack on their line like heroes in the last 5mins. Top tipping, hector!

Carlsen and Aronian drew today. Will do a detailed report on Chess Thread probably in the morning.

Kramnik won and he's finding his range now. He plays Carlsen tomorrow and they have both had games against each other jn the last couple of years where one or the other missed chances.

They might just play out a quick draw, but both players might have an eye on Gelfand v Aronian. Gelfand won really well against Radjabov today. Kicking myself for not suggesting a match bet there! Would have been a massive price.
