A reminder of our Masters book so far.
Outright
Snedeker, £25 WIN @ 25/1 (2 under)
Tiger Woods, £30 EW @ 6/1 (2 under)
Rory McIllroy, £25 EW @ 12/1 (Evens)
Phil Mickelson, £25 EW @ 16/1 (1 under)
Justin Rose, £50 EW @ 22/1 (2 under)
First Round Leader
Lee Westwood, £15 EW @ 33/1 - LOST
Justin Rose, £15 EW @ 18/1 - LOST
Charl Schwartzel, £15 EW @ 28/1 - LOST
Top Amateur
Weaver, £60 @ 4.6 (6 over, in bad shape)
Top Debutant
Coetzee £15 EW @ 7/1 (3 over)
Henley £15 EW @ 7/1 (Par)
Lynn £10 EW @ 12/1 (4 under)
Invested so far - £515 approx.
Updated to reflect losses so far - our three "1st round Leaders" all lost, so £90 lost so far.
Our five "Outrights" are all there, or thereabouts, we are in pretty good shape with those 5 so far.
Our Top Amateur bet is in bad shape.
Our "Top Debutant" selections are a mxed bag, with Lynn the outstanding one.
Not so bad really, & we have plenty of sweats going into Day Two.

Ty to whoever posted Lynn as first round leader. Was a great sweat and a decent payout.
With only Westwood, Dustbin and Haas in the portfolio, rest is a free roll. Wish I had had a couple outright on Lynn, but he has done his job, and whatever he does from here, there will be no beef between us!

I like Lynn and Henley in the top debutant market
. I have to confess I don't 100% understand the maths of each way betting in terms of when to take one over the other when it is close like this but on this occasion I think I prefer the extra place because there are a few in that market that really are a huge price. The Chinese kid, for example, only hits it 250 yards off the tee apparently. He literally is a million to one. Olesen might be 9/1 to win but his place odds are not a normal proportion of that because there is a good chance he blows out and isn't fit. I don't really agree we can eliminate 3G because it is a fairly weak field for this bet (I couldn't have him for the tourney proper of course) and his distance is such an advantage here.
Henley looks the real deal to me and he has a great tee time
. I haven't backed him but I wouldn't be amazed to see him competitive in the tournament proper. The each way seems a steal to me.
Lynn I have backed for the tournament proper at 650/1
so I guess I have to like him in this spot too although the difference in outright prices means I have to prefer Henley.
Lynn is 4 under, Henley Evens.
In a later Post, Reds suggested Lynn as a good "1st round leader" outsider, & bobby1 also tipped Lynn as one of his three "Top Debutants".
Go reds, a 650/1 sweat!
For Fred, we have Lynn in the Debut Market.
Tremendous stuff, we will follow them all the way & cheer you home.
BUMPED. (For Adzy, & others).

Absolutely, we would not be here without them, & anyone who has not learned stuff from them has no hope.
I rather like the fact that this thread is the ONLY place on blonde where i am NOT an "Elder".

I placed 2 bets last night - the Rugby League one, & a darts one, & never Posted the betslips as I was busy with other stuff at the time. As they both lost, but both bets are on the Spready, I won't bother on this occasion, but they can always be retrieved in the event of an audit if necessary.

Daily Summary, @ 0855, Friday April 12th
Fred in Ten-Timer shock
Is this a record? TEN bets completed yesterday & Wednesday, & every single one lost!
The 48 hour loss was £207.
March was fun, everything we touched won, we ran sizzling hot, winning nearly £1,100.
April is the bang opposite, & losses are inching towards £1,000, though it is not even half over yet, so we could pull it all back. Or lose more.....
I think redarmi - the Man of the Moment - summarised it nicely, variance is what it is, & as long as we keep finding value, & just remember that we have run above expectation, all will be well.
Proper test of character, & we'll be fine.
So, losses were....
Lazio, out of Europa League, £20.
Masters First Round Leaders, 3 x £30 = £90.
Brentford FGS, (2 bets) -£8
Barceloana FGS (2 bets) -£40
Co-Op Rugby League, -£24
Darts, -£25.
The Winners were.....

Meanwhile.....
In The Masters Golf, we have plenty of live sweats, as detailed a few Posts above.
We had a better day in the IPL yesterday, & our man will be along shortly with a Daily Update.
Our County Cricket stuff has begun.
I'll Summarise all the Cricket stuff in two categories (IPL & CC) shortly, for ease of reference.
In F1, it is the Chinese GP this weekend, for which Vettel is favourite. He is now slight odds-on for the World Championship, we have him @ 8/5.
We have tons of Domestic Football stuff, some of it in very good shape, including QPR & Doncaster, some poorly - York City Top 7 looks pretty bad, Last Rites stuff, & then we have the really bad ones, or "The Walsall's" as we call them.
We are on LeBron for NBA MVP, the result of which is announced directly after the NBA Season ends, which must be quite so soon I assume?
You can actually VOTE for your nomination - LeBron please! - as noted here....
http://www.nba.com/2013/news/04/09/kia-most-valuable-player-twitter/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts
I don't think it actually makes much difference, but you never know.
We also have some bets on Eurovision Song Contest. Into each life, a little rain must fall.

I think you put some loose change on my golfists with Paddy Power. Furyk and Scott are doing well, Stricker not so much. He was 5 over and I had mentally written it off, but he came back to 1 over so you never know.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
