Just checked again and Betvictor are Evs for the UK to finish 21st or below. But maybe £5 on the UK to finish last at 9-1 from Bwin? We may need Mr Chompys opinion as Bonnie claims to have a big European fan base centered around Germany.
I'm not advocating it, but if we wanted to lay there's some money on betfair to back a UK top 10 finish
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/special-bets/market?id=1.108145521
Backing Bonnie to finish last ahead of Iceland (video features fish-gutting injury) doesn't seem like a great bet to me.
When the market gets a little wetter, I would think there will be a
bottom
market (easy, boys...) That is worth considering, no matter how utterly repulsive the opposition.
Been a year but the UK last year (with an actual proper band* that a lot of people in Europe has heard of) did only amass 10% of the points of this entry:
Didn't Fred bet on this?

Having spent 1/2 hr of my life that I'll never get back going through ESC entries, I now feel compelled to have a bet.
My recommend is Greece top ten finish, best priced 10/11 sportingbet. It's a standout for me in the memorability stakes.
I backed it with BetVictor where it can be found in the Entertainment category, in case you're looking Tikay..

A few days ago tikay asked for an update of the progress of Singhee's Kansas City Royals Bet
Singhee is an infrequent visitor these days, so here is an update on his behalf
We have Kansas City Royals to win the World Series at 80/1 (I think, we really need to sticky the spreadsheet on the opening post of this thread)
This seemed very brave. KC Royals are perennial underachievers, poorly funded compared to many in the American League
Nonetheless they had recruited some talent in the off-season and Singhee had identified better times ahead
Well so far, after 27-30 of the 162 games in the regular season KC Royals are 7 games above 0.5 at 0.63 and a 17-10 record, and are currently on a four game winning streak
This is obviously encouraging
The standings are at
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/standings/?eref=sinav
Some points here
- In each of the AL and NL five teams make the play offs
- Three division winners and two wild cards, who play off to play the top division winner in the semi finals
- This is important for KC as they are in the same division as the Detroit Tigers, one of the top spending and most talented teams in baseball, who lead the division and are a prohibitive price to win the AL central, and favourites to win the Wolrd series
- Elsewhere then the Royals are battling the As and the Yankees etc for one of the Wild Card spots
- Low budget teams can make the play-offs, The Oakland A's of Moneyball fame habitually do this by effective roster management
Here are two Royals players this season who are leading the way
Billy Butler, who helped the Royals beat the White Sox in extra innings last night
Jeremy Guthrie who pitched a shut out the night before
The Royals are currently priced at 50-1 best to win the lot

Cricket Summary
County
- MIDDLESEX
e/w top 3 at 7-1
Currently 9/2 but generally joint favourites
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/county-championship-div-1/county-championship-division-one/winner
The table
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-one/table
Second with a game in hand after a recent draw, this is a very very competitive division. Middlesex have to replace Rogers but I am confident we have got a good chance here with Middlesex having one of the best attacks in the country
- NORTHANTS
e/w top 3 at 20-1
Top, by over a win, with three wins out of four
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table
They are basically 3-1 co-favourites of 3 with the two big teams in the division Hants and Lancashire
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/county-championship-div-2/county-championship-division-two/winner
Delighted with how this has started, and the bowling attack has taken 73 wickets out of 80 on offer. Price reflects obvious doubts that Northants will fall away, but I am confident. Injuries potentially are a worry, as squad depth is lacking compared to the bigger budget squads
- HAMPSHIRE
4-1 to win it
Second to Northants having lost their last game
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table
The class side in the division, and favourites to win the division still at 3-1
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/county-championship-div-2/county-championship-division-two/winner
- DURHAM
13/2 to finish bottom
Durham are top having won 2 out of 4 games. What will hurt this bet is Durham's seam attack (Onions, notably) in home conditions and Derbyshire are in this division,l comfortably the weakest team in it
- ROGERS
7/2 top batting captain
A bet scuppered by Rogers' selection for the Ashes from June onwards. A shame as so far he has 380 runs, third in the division and is top scoring captain by a distance
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-championship-div1-2013/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=7905;type=tournament
-KATICH
20/1 top Div 2 batsman
In the top 5 after 3 matches and a real chance here. A top class batsman in a weak division
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-championship-div2-2013/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=7906;type=tournament
IPL
- MUMBAI
5/1 to win
Top 4 make the semis, and 6 round robin games to go
Mumbai are in the top 4
http://www.iplt20.com/stats
It looks like 3 of Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Rajasthan for the semis....
However by some distance Chennai are the best team, Make the semis though, and its on
Whisper it, but it is vital to the IPL money guys that Mumbai, huge profile franchise with Sachin, big advertising market, make the semis
- PUNE
10-1 to win
Bottom. Comfortably the most under-performing franchise
- OWAIS SHAH
7/4 top English bat
Is playing now, but is miles behind Eoin Morgan in this market. Morgan 278 runs, Shah 25 runs
- MARLON SAMUELS
50-1 top bat
Tears up slip...Marlon is the 119th top scorer in this year's IPL
http://www.iplt20.com/stats/2013/most-runs

Where's our spiritual leader? Out watching ducks'n'planes while the sun's in the sky?
You may have a 25/1 Sporting Gesture rebuff thrust upon you unless you're quick...Sportingbet trimmed from 20/1 to 14/1 and she's layable at 26 on Betty, with nowt of note on the other side. Hills and Padraig still 25/1.
Put that stale bread down and get clicking ta.
Wpwpwp nirvana.

One is resting momentarily, after a hard night/week/year/life.......
The filly is named "Secert Gesture" not "Sporting Gesture" I believe.
You never stated win, or each way.
You never suggested an amount.
That apart a great recommend, though it did well to get past the Rebuff Police.
Details to follow later, but the bet is already on with Wm Hill, I placed it 10 minutes ago.
Took £31.50 each way at 25/1 to return a nice round bag.
Does this meet with one's approval?

John Virgo correctly identifies Phil Taylor, Stephen Fry and Damien Hirst (he keeps sharks, Tikay), but misses out on seeing Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian.
Can only conclude JV doesn't watch Soccer AM.

Yes, lay £150 of Brighton at 3.3
Actually not too averse about laying the whole £300 and taking a £650 freeroll.
I think Brighton are a tad underpriced at 9/4.
5/2 still seems like the correct price to me.
I wouldn't want to get involved on Watford until their goalkeeping situation is clarified.
Wouldn't want a penny on them at 10/3 with the kid in goal.
Tomasz pulled up in last minute v wolves too, doubt he will be playing. Didnt come out for post match lap of honour

Billy Horschel
has had 4 top 10 finishes in his last 4 PGA tournaments including a 3rd place at the Valero Texas Open, a 2nd place at the Shell Houston Open and of course a victory in his most recent event, the Zurich Classic.
He is generally available at 50/1 for this week's Players Championships which seems to represent good E/W value considering his recent form.
What do you think?

Brentford are having quite an exciting end to the seaaon - they were 3-2 up (4-3 overall) in the 95th minute & Swindon equalised!
