Billy Horschel has had 4 top 10 finishes in his last 4 PGA tournaments including a 3rd place at the Valero Texas Open, a 2nd place at the Shell Houston Open and of course a victory in his most recent event, the Zurich Classic.

He is generally available at 50/1 for this week's Players Championships which seems to represent good E/W value considering his recent form.

What do you think?

He's clearly HOT!

Would be interested to hear what the Golf Lads have to say. The price does look big, but from my scant knowledge of Golf, The Players Championship is a pretty tough field, much tougher than he is used to, is it not?

PS - Well done on the Rumford win.

Brentford are having quite an exciting end to the seaaon - they were 3-2 up (4-3 overall) in the 95th minute & Swindon equalised!

Great game.

Playoffs have been terrific this year.

If it were Online Poker, some folks would say it were rigged. You really could not make it up, especially the tale of Brentford's last few games. The last minutes of the last game of the Season proper against Donny was incredible.

I've been slacking today, I needed a bit of rest, but I'll do the Daily Update (expected to be painful) & then get up to date with the stuff suggested today.

Cant argue with Horschel. Finally off the mark/consistent etc. Worth a place in any staking plan while he still looks hungry

Past results suggest the boom boom boys struggle and I like the look of Bo Van Pelt, with some recent good play, I think, a previous winner(not 100%), but defo had some good results here. Will also be sticking in LUUUUUUUUUUUKE and notice our old mate Sned lurking at 50s, seems big as his style seems suited.

Daily Summary, 1910, Monday May 6th

We lost £75 yesterday.

Only the LeBron bet saved us from a wipeout, as we had 6 losers to go with the one winner.

Included amongst the losers was the Napoli to win Serie A bet (-£20), a 1,000/2,000 Guineas Double, a 1,000 Guineas single (note the correct annotation with comma jobbies), a RL bet, & two horse Races both of which bombed.

Well done though to the currently embattled TL900 for his LeBron MVP bet, which yielded £70 profit. Hopefully he had a good few bob on himself.

In line with a very sensible suggestion from Tighty, the Spready has been added to the OPENING POST on the thread.

The Spready is Updated every single day, without exception.

By reference to the spready, you can see every bet we have ever placed, including ALL current bets, & the Owners of every bet.

Since this weekend, a link on the Spready also takes you direct to the Post from where the Bet originated.

Rightyo, got a couple of long-terms racing punts to add to the portfolio.

Richard Hughes is going to win the jockeys' championship barring injury and it's worth trying to get a sneaky double on him and Richard Hannon to win the British trainers' championship. The two bets are sort of related. Sort of.
Spoilsports and Ladbrokes are best (both 4/9 and 5/4 respectively). Suggest £100 double.

Secret Gesture, 25-1 Oaks, Padraig or Hills
This market is still pretty open and, after watching the 1000 (no comma) again, I'm inclined to agree with Joseph O'B that Moth will be best on more conventional courses. I'm not sure Epsom will suit, while Just The Judge isn't a certain runner.
Secret Gesture is supposedly ahead of Talent in the Beckett pecking order and she's due to run in the Lingfield Trial at the weekend. She'll probably start favourite there.

The Oaks.

We are on Secret Gesture @ 25/1 for a tidy sum.

I'll reply to the other bet seperately.

£31.50 EW @ 25/1, Wm Hill, Secret Gesture to win the 1,000 Guneas in a canter with a comma.

ON

06 May 13 / 14:02  Single (EW) 1   31st May 2013 - Investec Oaks  –  Outright Secret Gesture @ 25/1 – £62.50 O/0457483/0000411/F

Is there any danger of having my Accont Restricted by Laddies if they deem this a related bet? I could really do without losing that Account.

In a way, I'd rather have a bigger single on Hannon to win the Championship.

Thoughts?

LOL. No mate. A few days in Cornwall. Back home now. Honeymoon in early June doing an Old Persons Cruise, but back in time for Ascot.

And naturally, Fred is like cleaning your teeth/having a ****. Must be done at least twice a day!

Penalty shoot out fun.

How are Brentford fans still alive? The last two weeks must have challenged even the strongest of tickers
