Meanwhile, QPR really are useless.

Mancini got the tin tack, Pellegrini 1-6 , Jose 20-1

Anyone for Jose ?

I'll have some 20s if it's going...

Morning Mr T.

In rugby league it is another round of the Challenge Cup, and Workington host Widnes. Workington are in the lower division and a solid team. By winning their last round match they have their ideal draw, a home tie against a superleague team who are vulnerable and shouldn't be able to physically dominate them. Their mindset should be all about containing the score and score a couple of tries themselves. With a home crowd and wet weather the start of 32 points is decent.

Suggest Workington +32 points £22 @ 10/11 with Paddy Power, Corals , Hills.

People with Skybet should take their offer of +34 points.

Update, update, update.   Noooooo

2/7 Liverpool to beat QPR can't last.

Looks like a 1/10 shot to me.

QPR players have completely given up.

Radjabov won a game yesterday at Even money. I'm an idiot for not sticking it up (or betting on it!) with the benefit of hindsight. Was a golden spot as well.

Never mind.

http://www.marathonbet.com/en/betting/Chess

Karjakin has been playing very well this week (he won the exhibition blitz tournament that opened the comp), has won all three of his games so far and is 7/1 to beat Aronian with black. Whenever the two play, they have fast and furious games, full of vitality. A good chunk of the time, the fire burns out and there's nothing left but embers. But either could win the game. Maybe the difference between where I'd put the price and where the bookies have isn't worth fighting over.

Carlsen v Svidler is a really interesting one. Each beat the other as Black in the Candidates, Svidler has been completely hot and cold this week and Carlsen has been bubbling away without reaching boiling point. Draw at 2.25 feels generous, although I could foresee Carlsen having a go because he has already a gap to catch up in this, the strongest tournament his home country has seen for a very long time.

Be interesting to see how it plays out, anyway.

I have difficulty feeling confident in proposing "the price isn't correct" recommends because I'm no compiler. These two in particular feel like they lean on the favourable side, if anything. All part of my own learning of the intricacies of this stuff. Betting on chess is almost as foreign to me as it is to everyone else Smiley

I hope someone out there in the Fredosphere ignored my lack of confidence and went with my gut.

Karjakin has just beaten Aronian and Carlsen v Svidler was drawn.

7/1 and 9/4.

Have been looking through the markets for the Man Utd game today and noticed Paul Scholes is 12/1 for MOM . He is retiring for good this time and team news suggests he will start today maybe worth a £10 mini Banzai

Liverpool have nothing to play for either though do they? They can't finish in any spot other than 7th. What if Rogers plays a bunch of 18 year olds?
Probably still beat QPR but still
