Morning Mr T.

I need a break from staring at a plain slab of dirt with no sign of life.

In the French open tennis starting in about an hour.

Suggest £15 Duckworth @ 11/8 with Boyles to beat Kavcic.

Morning h, & well done on that lovely RL bet yesterday.

Plain dirt, no sign of life? Have you considered concreting it over? Low maintenance, lasts forever, & is pleasing to look at.

Now, the bet.

Team Hector, who follow you blindly, soon snapped up that 11/8 with Boyles, they now go 5/4, so we went to Butter Me Up Victor & got 13/10. I also took the liberty of upping the stake slightly, to pay for the fennel failure.

We have £20 @ 13/10, BetVictor, Duckworth to beat Kavcic. In the event of a tie break, we'll ask Duckworth's mate, Lewis, to decide who won.

ON

Blaz Kavcic v James DuckworthJames Duckworth (Match Betting)Odds: 13/10 Stake: 20.00Possible Return:  46.00

I sometimes find fennel lurking in salads.  Quite pleasant it is too.

I am sure finding Neil's waggy finger lurking when you up the stakes on a price drop isn't so pleasant.

The Monaco Grand Prix sees Rosberg on pole, and we have 8-1 e/w,

Rosberg now generally 6/4 or less. So, we have F1 Value Pie. We are also on Raikkonen I seem to recall, but he is 12/1 or more in places.

What time does the race start, please? 1pm?

Can get 14s and fifth first three.  It may be better to just back the podium and get 2.1/1 on Betfair.  I am not backing this just info for those considering backing him.

Conspiracy theory section:  If you were running a Formula 1 team without race pace, wouldn't it be convenient if your 2nd driver couldn't match the pace of the first and held up all the cars behind so your lead driver could put in a pitstop without losing position?  Though can't imagine Hamilton going for this if he ends up in 2nd at the first corner.

That is quite interesting.

Hamilton's ego would never allow him to be the "team blocker", but his ego is so inflated, nobody would have room to pass him anyway.

Anyway, the question was put to him this morning by Tighty, via Twitter, & Lewis replied.

You should NEVER eat salad, I have no sympathy.

Neil? He'll not notice, trust me.

So, Cav needs to finish in the top five (that's either finishing fifth, fourth or podiumviatifying) and that will likely be enough.

Apologies for the misread. I blame Eurosport. As Nibali will be in pink, will Cav still get to wear the red jersey?

Don't fancy the cycle up to the top of that mountain in the Giro.

Mildly damp. Somewhat chilly.

Exhausting watching them.

Nibali outclassing the field. Think...that means he wins the points classification and not Mr Cavendish.

What?

Impossible!

Buggggggerrrr.

Fear not Cavendish can (will) win back the deficit in the final stage to Breschia on Sunday. Plan B was always in place  Wink

Thought he was 128-117 down? Is that still salvageable? The commentator said he thought that was done for the Points classification.

25 points for stage win, 20 2nd, then 16, 13 etc Plus points in intermediate sprints. Still a +ev bet

Cav is about 1.1 on betfair for the points classification so I wouldnt panic just yet Smiley

Oh. I thought he was 127-118 down and only a flat stage to come?

Apologies. My red ink pen will be holstered.

Must confess, I'm a bit nervous about this, as I may have been a little rash in plonking £100 on the bet. We can't be having rash in a betting thread.

But....in Tonji we trust.

I assume this will be covered on dear old Eurosport. Come on Cav!

Was a bit  Shocked  Wink

Incidentally I've had a tot up on my Giro betting I'm down about 10%, so in CAV we trust! He is the Greatest Sprinter ever after all.

Big sweat, & I couldn't get on with Bwin myself.

On Eurosport, finish will be around 3.30 to 4 I'd expect.

Time to start the comeback?

In the Tennis, Duckworth lost the first 2 sets, both 5-2, & is 5-2 down in the third......

This could be the greatest comeback ever ever ever.
