A good friend of mine was recently sent off in a semi-pro football match (two or three divisions below conference) for saying "Fuxake". Wasn't even swearing at the ref but the ref called him over and said "It's the rules. You can't swear. That's a red"

I can't imagine there was a premier league game that would have been able to finish last season if that were applied.

Daily Report

Profit on the Month £362.28

Outstanding Bets £1396.75

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=24

As you were yesterday, with Chompy's loser of the day a Non-runner, and thus a welcome zero in the spreadsheet. With our esteemed leader on manoeuvres on the Yorkshire Front, further damage was avoided.

In news

Northamptonshire v Hampshire Day One was rained off

Here is a view from inside the Northamptonshire dressing room. Some sort of dealers choice game, I think

Magician was scratched from the Derby. Aidan O'Brien has 5 in the field. Dawn Approach is rated 12 points higher by timeform than anything in the race. A thread holds its breath.

http://data.attheraces.com/images/pdf/timeform/ATRTimeformJuryDerby2013.pdf

The Lions team for the Baabaas match was named. It contains 11 Welshmen and a further 4 on the bench. Warburton is injured, which is a worry but not for the thread.

Secret Gesture is 5/2 joint for the Oaks tomorrow....

Looking ahead, I am at Wembley for six days in the morning.I'll produce the dailies when I can, but early mornings won't be on my agenda unless the noise of the North Circular forces me up. So bear with me. tikay type timeliness is about to be resumed

Thanks Rich.

Secret Gesture in The Oaks tomorrow - a reminder, we have £31.50 EW @ 25/1, down to "Loser of the Day" Chompy.

We then saved a bit, £50 @ 4.7 for a £185 liability I think.

Reminds me of the player who was sent off a second or two after kick off, having responded to the ref's whistle with, "Fuck me that's loud!".

Mark Hughes at Stoke

12/1 to be gone by Xmas

Not a recommendation as such, but it could really be a struggle couldn't it?

Big weekend at Epsom coming up, yup.

Here's Adrian O'Brien's portfolio:

Hoax

Moth 3/1
Say 12/1

A combined 2/1 shot.

Derby

Battle Of Marengo 11/2
Ruler Of The World 10/1
Mars 14/1
Festive Cheer 50/1
Flying The Flag 150/1

A combined 2/1 shot.

I'm glad Magician isn't running tbh. What do we want to do with the Adrian zero UK Classic winners bet?

What exactly are you saying, we are in a world of pain?

Seriously, it is your bet, so we'll do whatever you suggest. Within reason.

Please try & make the suggestion before the 2 races, too.

We are in a world of anti-pain obv.

It's just whether you want to take the Camel route, tough it out and not urinate on a pile of bricks, or gay-green it to cover your steak?

The choice is yours.

Second maximum bet of the season coming on Saturday and I'll make sure I post this one. Oi oi!

Fred should probably back Ola Afolabi at 2/1 with Betfred before it goes. He fights Marco Huck on June 8. They have fought twice before, Huck winning the first encounter on points in 2009 (116-112 and 115-113 x2), they fought again in 2011 and it was a majority draw. I had Afolabi winning  the last fight although it was close and he gassed badly late on after outboxing Huck in the early rounds.

Despite only being 28 Huck is showing signs of being a bit shopworn and despite being five years his senior I think Afolabi is the one open to improvement. It is only recently he has started taking his own career seriously. Downside is it is in Huck's backyard and he has been the beneficiary of a couple of favourable decisions from the judges in the past. We are getting 2/1 though when both fighters are pretty evenly matched. Recommend £40

CONFIRMATION

£40 @ 2/1, Betfred, Ola Afolobi to beat Huck.

I'm just gonna ride the variance, I have Moth for stake back plus a bit and if that 12/1 shot wins Ill just give the dog a kick...

With the Derby, I'm guessing 2 of those never win, and I'm not hedging on 3 horses to cover one bet.

OK, let's see. We have £130 @ 9/2 and £18 @ 8/1, so zero winners = £729 profit. Of course we still have the St Ledger to come, so this isn't the end of the road.

We have staked £150. Roughly. At combined odds of just under 5/1. Roughly.

We also have a chunk, £31.50 each-gay @ 25/1, on Sporting Gesture tomorrow, of which £50 has been laid back @ 4.7.

If Sporting G wins we bink £984.50 - £235 = £749.50

If Sporting G finishes second or third we bink £197 - £31.50 + £50 = £215.50

If Sporting G crashes we bink £50 - £63 = -£13

I'm not sure what to recommend here tbh. It depends how much you want to gamble.
