I genuinely feel any of the 8 can win it, I backed NZ @ 16s.

I definitely wouldn't put anyone off backing the Windies.

The main argument against backing the West Indies is the lop-sided nature of the draw. Arguably the four strongest teams are in their group.

I think we have a free bet left.  I propose £25 free bet on Declaration of War in the Queen Anne on the first day of Royal Ascot with William Hill at 12s.

Reasoning.
Farrh is likely to go to the Prince of Wales.
Race could cut up
Horse must be showing something to start so short last time, and even if he isn't he is likely to be the 2nd best horse in this race.

Given the race could cut up, he is also a solid e/w bet in a race that could easily start with less than 8, suggest another 25 e/w with a firm offering 12s and quarter odds first 3 (eg Corals or BetVictor).

CONFIRMATION.

We got on all of the above, as directed.

Queen Anne Stakes, Royal Ascot, Declaration of War, £25 WIN (Ad-Hoc FREE BET) @ 12/1, Wm Hill.

Queen Anne Stakes, Royal Ascot, Declaration of War, £25 EW(qtr, 1,2,3) @ 12/1, Corals.

Marvellous. FML.

(just spent 3 hours on PMs obv).

You must love it when the WSOP comes around, probably need to charter your own Airbus to get all the Facebook stakees out there Cheesy

Not being picky here Mark, but I don't think you can fly from the UK to Vegas in an Airbus at present, Virgin use Boeing 747-400's, & I believe BA do, too, or maybe BA have the Boeing 747-800 on that route now. Definitely not Airbus though.

Very important you understand the difference.

Got one for Sandown tomorrow at a nice each-way price.

7.55, £25 each-way Vallarta, 12-1 Ladbrokes.

There are nine runners and a short-priced favourite, so it's perfect for an each-wayer. Funnily enough, ours beat the short-priced favourite in a Newbury maiden last season and is better off at the weights.

It's easier to come from off the pace here than on the Rowley at Newmarket - he met traffic in a messy race last time - and the step up to 7f will suit.

The others prominent in the betting behind Homage aren't bombproof imo. Had he been trained by Ted Barron, we'd have been all in, but £25 EW fine.

CONFIRMATION

I was 3 & 4 Tabling PLO8 DYM's when this came up, & what with Chompy changing his mind every 2 seconds, & me being so active & aggro at PLO8, it was a bit awkward, so I now have the luxury of being able to choose which bookie Fred is on with from a basket of three, all at different prices, fml.

If this thing loses, Vegas is cancelled.

We have £20 Each Way @ 12/1, Vallarta, 7.55 Sandown. The bet is with Honest Chompy Bookmakers, & I'll settle up with him privately.

Any thoughts on the UK Open Darts?

Believe this kicks off (throws off?) tonight.

This is the event that has an FA Cup style draw out of the hat, so there is no seeding to keep MvG and The Power apart. Case therefore for betting on someone else?

Barney had won it twice (06 and 07) and Wade won it 2011. Thornton is the defending champion. Each ≥ 12/1.

What do the dartist Fred elders think?

Haha, I knew that Virgin flew a 747, but as Tom said in Lock Stock 'You get a gold plated Rolls Royce, as long as you pay for it', so I was guessing you could charter any plane you liked Smiley

That's for the flight back in November Wink

My last rugby league tip on here went so well I thought it was time to put another one up Cheesy.

Wigan play Widnes on the iPitch tomorrow, with 9 first-choice players missing from the squad.

Wigan Warriors 19 Man Squad ( in alphabetical order)

Greg Burke, Josh Charnley, Dom Crosby, Anthony Gelling, Darrell Goulding, James Greenwood, Ryan Hampshire, Harrison Hansen, Jack Hughes, Epalahame Lauaki, Lee Mossop, Sam Powell, Tom Spencer, Scott Taylor, Lewis Tierney, Iain Thornley, Logan Tomkins, Chris Tuson, George Williams.

Not sure what the final 17-man squad will be, but there'll be no Sam Tomkins, Richards, O'Loughlin, Farrell, Green or Smith - so arguably the main spine of the team will be missing.  Super League debuts for 18 year olds Hampshire and Tierney (who is Jason Robinson's son incidentally) and two young half-backs, as well as a very young pack.

Wigan have been on a great run of form, but not with this side.  Widnes are getting better as the season progresses.  They're not a top-half side, but have put a decent run of results together (lost a couple of their last 6 games, but only by a few points each time).

You can get Widnes at 2/1 which is a bit generous imo, especially as it's at Widnes.  You can also back Widnes +8 points at 5/6, which also looks like good value.  I think the odds haven't fully taken into account the degree the side has been changed, and just how many key players have been rested or are out injured.

The match is on Sky tomorrow night, so there's the benefit of being able to watch the sweat.

Hector's thoughts on Widnes @ 2/1 or Widnes +8 points @ 5/6?

There were a couple match bets put up a long while ago, I had forgotten until you mentioned it too. I can't remember if Fred got on, or if the prices had gone too quickly.

I put one of them up myself, but other than the fact it was with Bwin I can't remember what it was, and will have to check when I'm at my work PC later.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £115.20

Outstanding Bets £1141.25

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=25

Wemberley, Wemberley, we're the famous tips for tikay and we went to Wemberley. Now I have sport withdrawal symptoms having missed six days of action.

One bet yesterday, one winner. Jamie Heaslip, who has come back to form since the Six Nations, scored a try to lock up our resident Milkman another £28 profit

As an aside part one, the Heaslip form is probably bad news for our Welsh players in the first Test bet but, and I don't like to see anyone injured, the Cian Healy injury is good news for that bet as Gethin Jenkins should now play loose head

As an aside part two, the match was 10.30am yesterday and I was ensconsed in a Wembley box (£125,000 a year to own) waiting to commentate. WidescreenTV, Sky Sports1 Western Force the Lions, job done. Until a French techie decides that we need to use the screen to see what the stream is showing live an hour and a half before play starts

I invoked the spirit of Serge Blanco and Jean Pierre Rives but Entente Cordiale it was not, and I lost the battle. Merde.

I see we have some speculative positions in the Champions Trophy that starts today. Royal Ascot too.

If everyone wants to take a minute to check the Middlesex and Chris Rogers scores from yesterday, please do so. Bing!

Northants too, max bowling points so far.

Normal service resumed from tomorrow, when I have caught up

Morning Mr T.

It's big people v little people in the cricket today and the bookies still haven't cottoned on to the fact that big people hit the ball further than dwarfs. India did really badly in hitting 6's in last years 20/20 and South Africa should be a decent favourite in today's contest. Obviously we have to hold our breath when Dhoni is batting.

Suggest £15 South Africa to score more 6's than India today @ 6/5 with Paddy Power.
