In non Chompy is a bent bookie news, the NBA Finals start tonight. I've written a preview for BettingOn here: http://bettingon.com/articles/2013/06/04/nba-finals-2013-betting-preview

Would love to rec a bet to give u a sweat but as one of my mates told me the other day when he text me to say we should bet on Lampard to score anytime as he'll be keen to get the Chelsea record (and he did) I've become a 'value bore' and nothing looks that exciting. The MVP market interests me, if only because the prices are better that betting on the team, yet Miami can't win without LeBron being MVP, and the Spurs can't win unless Parker or Duncan are MVP. Duncan at 8/1 I could make a case for...but not that much of one.

One of those sporting events that no bet is best idea I think, at least for now

Stage 5, or Stage 6?

The link takes me to Stage 6 prices. If so, the price is 40/1 now, and Bet365 are prepared to allow me.......£0.25 each way.

Will have a look elsewhere shortly, am multi-table grinding high stakes PLO8 right now.

Stage is set for sprinters who can climb. Its possible QPQS will set a fast pace to drop the fat boys with chubby legs (Bouhanni & Viviani).

This leaves the likes of Meersman, EBH & Gazzavi to fight out the sprint. Gavazzi is always under the radar with the bookies despite some strong results on these types of stages. He must be in decent shape, coming in ahead of his fellow sprinters on todays mountain stage.

I'm also on Michael Matthews. OGE are looking for wins & Matthews is the best bet with a strong 2nd on stage 3, just mistiming the sprint. 18/1 ftw in a few places.

bit late for a posting for me but been one of those days and cant sleep

been waiting for all the books to price up the third leg of the triple crown and they now have

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/ante-post-racing/international/belmont-stakes/winner?selectionName=will-take-charge

Bet Suggestion £10 eway Overanalyze 16-1 corals or ladbrokes first 3 places 1/5th the odds

I have watched this years Kentucky Derby a good few times now and Overanalyze ran a lot better than the 11th finishing position suggests.

This view of mine has been backed up by the excellent trackus website which provides the facts behind the theory. Here is an extract

"A backpedaling Falling Sky may have forced him to slow, but no published video makes it entirely clear why he faded, falling well back to 18th passing the three-eighths pole. He then moves back inside and is on the rail for the next two furlongs, advancing past horses, angling around Charming Kitten, and running on to finish 11th in a scrum that included that rival, plus Lines of Battle, Will Take Charge, Giant Finish, and Palace Malice. Eventual Preakness winner Oxbow finished just 3 ¾ lengths in front of Overanalyze.

Add to all of this that Overanalyze ran the fifth-fastest final furlong of the Kentucky Derby (there’s that one meaningful element of data, and attempting to show that Overanalyze wasn’t just passing tiring horses, he was still lively at the end of an eventful run)."

The horse also is the only horse that is unbeaten at Belmont (1-1) at this stage it seems 50/50 whether the main track will be dry or an off track again. It will be a lot better for the bet if the track is dry but not a disaster if it goes sloppy again.

I expected 12-1 which is the american morning line price, the fact two big firms went 16-1 after the others priced up first at 12-1 worries me somewhat but i make it around a 10-1 shot on a dry track and 14-1 on a wet track.

I have take some small 16-1 today.

CONFIRMATION AND ADDITIONAL BET

As I stated at the time, Bet365 only allowed me £0.25 each way, which I took.

However, as of this morning, WmHill are offering 40/1, so I have plunged, & had a rather extravagent £10 EW with them, too. Balla.
