Vegas Plans
A week today, all being well, I head off to Vegas for a month. Given that it is hard to get on from Vegas, the time differences, & the fact that I'll be pokering, partly with other folks money (investors) it would not be possible for me to do the punting whilst over there.
Mere has kindly agreed to become me for that duration (a dream come true for him), & for that period, Vince will be placing bets on my behalf, as & when, & for what amounts, he sees fit. So Mere becomes Fred for that period.
The financial arrangement is that I will settle up with Vince after my return, either way. So it is still my money, & Vince will be looking after it accordingly.
We have agreed that I will start my Fred absence at Midnight next Wednesday.
Many thanks to Mere, as always, who is most helpful, albeit grumpily.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Daily Report
Profit on the Month £60.28
Outstanding Bets £1229.75
I am pleased to announce that I will not be tikay for the month of his absence. My relief is palpable, as are his bets.
Two bets yesterday, and two losers for a loss of £55.
In the Champions trophy, India were helped by the South Africans bowling complete tripe, and proceeded to out-six the Springboks, who made a good fist of a chase with a match containing over 630 runs, but we were sunk when their middle order biffers Colin Miller and Faf Du Plessis decided to play run out hows your father through the latter stages of the innings
Meanwhile at Sandown park Vallarta proved a Mal-teaser and lost too.
Elsewhere things are lookng good for Middlesex and Northants in their current games, with the seam attacks of both firing through Sussex and Worcestershire respectively yesterday.
In the MLB the Rays lost, but the Red Sox and Royals won. The Red Sox leads the AL East and remain the only realistic chance of success in that group of bets at this stage, though a strong run by any can chan ge things quickly.
Positions have been placed on cycling, the Belmont and rugby league, Widnes/Wigan tonight and a busy weekend awaits. Even for Front of House.

OK. I'll carefully weigh up all the pros and cons and then stick the entire roll on trap 6 in Big Brother.

Point of order.
The South African cricket team is "The Proteas"; only the Rugby Union team is known as "The Springboks".

Back Chompy blind. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for a 2nd series of Splash.

Maybe he meant when, at the weekend, the British Lions outscored the Aussie cricket team?

boooo....
Gavazzi’s chances were done really when two of his team mates made it into the successful four man break & OPQS ran out of riders to chase them down. But kinda proved his worth with a next best 7th behind EBH & Meersman.

Afternoon Mr T.
It's nice to have another rugby league bod back for a second go and I thought I ought to keep him company with a suggestion.
I think that Hull KR are a decent bet to beat Huddersfield as Huddersfield have only had a 4 day rest.
For my bet though I am going to suggest opposing Leeds on the handicap. they have a number of significant injuries and Castleford usually raise their game for this derby match. I doubt they will have a better opportunity to beat Leeds at Headingly for a long time and at 4-1 it is a bit of value. However I will take Castleford with a 16 point start.
Suggest Castleford +16 £24 @ 5/6 with Coral.

The hint taken as to Hull KR, & Fred is on the Castleford Coup.
We got a better price, too, 10/11 with BetFred, & I adjusted the stake so as not to overly stress Mere & his Speady.
£22 @ 10/11, BetFred, Castleford (+16) over Leeds.
Details later.

I took the 4/1 yesterday, McGuire out for season + 4 long term injured and Cas up for the double against Leeds...they have a good chance, but then again owt can happen. Leeds wont want to lose 4 on bounce.

Nadal-Djokovic is 7-7 in the fifth, in case anyone's not watching the tennis.
