It depends on the other game.
If Sri Lanka beat Australia then England need to win.
Otherwise a rained off game is likely to see England go through (unless Australia beat Sri Lanka by a huge margin).

We can rely on the British weather.
Two rained off matches and New Zealand & England both qualify.

At least we haven't backed Essex.

15/7 against Lancashire.

20 all out. Ten lower than they managed against Yorkshire in Leyton in 1901.

But we have backed Northants

County Cricket round up

Middlesex are out of the top three for the first time this season, but the top four are well clear of the rest

Middlesex should have beaten Sussex last week, and were never in it against Yorkshire this

So, a temporary drop in form or something more longer lasting?

Rogers now goes to the Australian touring party, so we are about to find out...

In Division Two

Northants suffered weather variance, scoring 570 against the bottom side then seeing the best part of two days washed out

Lancashire won remarkably, but are still 33 points behind with a game behind..(24 points maximum per game)

Next game? Lancashire v Northants at Liverpool. Tasty......

Our other bet Hampshire lost in a contrived run chase, and look to be struggling to get into contention

In the batsmen markets

Rogers finishes his Middlesex season with 790 runs, next is Madsen with 576 so very unlikely Rogers will hold on for us

Katich scored 122 for Lancashire, Essex capitulated so no chance of a second innings in the game. He is a couple of hundred runs behind the elading run scorer in the second division Westley of Essex with 699

Meanwhile at Cardiff the rain has come with the two teams level on DL, Pollard's wicket just before the rain has left this hanging in the balance, DL is level! Ouch......SA have the better NRR overall

Betfair WI price to win the ICC went from 7.9 to 16 in 30 seconds from the Pollard wicket out to 32 with the rain and back to 12 again when the DL was worked out....then 36 when it looked like that was the end of the match...
